Years later, the way this seems to me (and did to an extent back when it happened) is that this wasn't about A-Rod's guilt or wrongdoing. Which is to say, I don't think that is why he was so angry. Instead, my take on it is that A-Rod was angry because he was being singled out, obviously, and the means employed to 'catch' him were so over-the-top in terms of effort. It was as if it were completely personal on MLB's part to wreck his career, even though there were dozens of other players for whom they could have expended the same effort, yet didn't.

The sick joke of the entire situation is that this guy never really needed juice in the first place. He was on a level entirely different from other human beings since the day he could throw a ball. Look at his physique/form from the year right before he entered the pros. A-Rod was THE baseball specimen: the textbook definition of one man w/all five tools. This entire saga (the denials, in particular) ultimately illustrates what happens to a person when he/she is driven by ego and the search for greatness in a domain governed strictly by stat production.

@rm113310 жыл бұрын
Well you won't EVER have to worry about that because A-Rod will never, ever sniff the HOF. If he did, I'm sure it would be as a Yankee but now there is zero chance. Look at Palmerio with 500+ HR's and 3000+ hits, 2 magic numbers for induction, fell off the ballot this year for not receiving enough votes to stay on the ballot.

He bleeds Yankees blue 😂 I haavnt talked to one Yankees fan who actually liked Arod. He’s a flat out cheater, no chance for the Hall of fame, Barry bonds never got caught either 🤷🏻♂️
@blacjackdaniels200 Жыл бұрын
@@jamesps7515Ok well I’m a Yankee fan telling You I Loved ARod, and to say that He bled Yankee blue is accurate: -He was a MAJOR Star BEFORE coming to The Yankees..He wore #3 and went to the only team who wouldn’t allow Him to wear it…He was an ALL STAR Shortstop, and went to the only team that wouldn’t allow Him to play short…..so He gave up His number, His position, and His spotlight as it was “Jeter’s town” all to win a Championship with the Yankees, and thanks to Him, they did. He carried the team on His back in 09’ and won 2 MVP awards in His tenure. Do You think anyone including the almighty captain would have given up everything that ARod did just to play for the Yankees or any other team? I’ll save You the time, the answer is no. Say what You want about the mistakes He made, He was still a great player and despite what many are too stupid to see, a great Yankee as well.

The longer the Yankees go without winning a championship the higher Alex‘s stock goes up. People will forget the year-long suspension and will remember that he delivered the only Yankees championship in a period between 2001 and 2023

Arod took steroids & so did a lot of other baseball players. Look at his stats. A lot of those other baseball players aren't even close. You still have to hit the ball. Very talented at his prime, belongs in the hall! Point blank
@ExclusiveLM8 жыл бұрын
... The only hall A-Roid belongs in is the hall of shame. Yes he has impressive stats......... Who wouldn't taking steroids. It's obvious A-Roid took that stuff from the very beginning of his career. On his 3rd year in baseball, which was his first full season as a hitter A-Roid hit 36 home runs, drove in 123 runs with a 358 batting average. That's not normal when you think he was only 21 yrs old when he did it. A-Roid admitted taking it twice. Also, when Derek Jeter was negotiating his contract to get a lot of money A-Roid said that Jeter should not get paid the same amount he got because Jeter didn't put up big numbers, like homeruns. It turns out Jeter WAS a better hitter than him when A-Roid didn't get juiced up. Both A-Roid and Pete Rose should never be allowed into the hall of fame.
@MrSemi0098 жыл бұрын
+ExclusiveLM I'll take A-Roid "as you put it" over Jeter any day

+ExclusiveLM who taking steroids wouldnt have impressive stats ? Try about 90% of the people that took them. Pretty sure Melky Cabrera, Evereth Cabrera, Jesus Montero, and Jhonny Peralta werent putting up A-Rod's numbers.

Nobody is going to condem AROD for what he has done but none of this should of happened and it didn't have to happen People don't like how he was the highest paid player in the game but is he really any different than any of the other guys Sosa, Bonds,Clemens, Palmerio, Mcguire the list goes on but this suspension by Bud Selig is not a win no matter what he thinks. looking back this in 2019 man i thought A Rod was innocent but he came clean. he understands what he did and i know NYY fans hate A Rod i can't speak for everyone. but A Rod he shouldn't have done PEDs he has all the talent since his rookie season in SEA. from there it should have played out as a HOF career.

Arod did use steroids during his 3 years in Texas and he admitted it but he was accused of using steroids during the 2012 and 2013 seasons which is false and to prove that, mlb tested arod hundreds of times and he came out negative all of those times. The commissioner is just a racist individual that did not want to see a minority break records, arod without doubt could of broke all the hitting records and he is undoubtedly the best of all time so all you ignorants that want to hate on arod, know the facts first and btw arod admitted using steroids so the mlb let him play the sport he loves, they did arod really dirty but that’s how life is dirty. AROD IS THE GOAT

..........knowing what we all now know, it's so sad to see A-Roid lying through his teeth to Francesca. It's Embarrassing. He knew his legacy and Hall Of Fame chances would untangle if the truth came out.

Don't we go after the dug dealers and not the users.MLB went with Bosch who gave the drugs to players and to children yet A-rod is the bad guy. So what's next we use a bank robber to catch a guy who cheated on his taxes.A-rod should have gotten 50 games not 162 which isn't part of the JDA an that evidence in a federal court would be thrown out. This is a good link-grantland.com/the-triangle/defending-a-rod-breaking-down-the-rodriguez-appeal/ I'm not A-rod supporter but he did get a raw deal and the Players Association should have never agreed to those terms.
