Do you find a big tonal difference in having the pickups side by side?

I usually run them in Series so it's acting as one big pickup but if I switch it to Parallel there is a noticeable difference between the two. They're definitely closer to sounding like bridge pickups with the back one sounding like a Jbass and the front one sounding like a fatter/fuller version of Jbass pickup
