I like the new Alexa's role. She isnt playing a Maddy's typecast role and it could help on the long Run. The character feels like a character could be played by Aubrey Plaza. But Alexa works well with role. Some Voice Over lines were bit bland for the character's Rage. But i like it.

This is probably her best performance yet. Yes, she's brilliant in Euphoria, and has been in a lot of other great projects (mid-90's, Waves, etc.), but while she's able to mine great emotion and pathos in her roles, they all feel like they tread the same archetype. Here, however, she fully immerses herself into a completely different persona from anything she's done before (and a radical departure from how she is in real life). Her transformation into a slimy, evasive, soulless corporate drone who goes out of her way to be as unhelpful as possible and takes sadistic gratification in aggravating people, all without a single swear word, until she fumes in an entitled rage when her own behavior is turned back on her, is a wonder to behold. She's practically Dolores Umbridge in the Sorry To Bother You universe. I can see her getting an Emmy for Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.

In real life there is no power trip in customer service.
