i love both the character eric northman and alex. having read the books i can't wait to see him act it out. it's funny, i haven't watched a recent music video in over two years but after hearing he was in paparazzi with lady gaga (whom i'm not even interested in) couldn't help myself. its rewarding to find an actor both dedicated AND good looking. And it's great to see that he is a straight forward and genuinely cool guy. It's rewarding when fame hasn't gotten to people's heads.

Generation Kill is a 7 part mini series about the first days of war in Irak. It's about a journalist who follows a group of soldiers and writes a book about his experience with them. I think it aired last year. You can find it on Netflix or probably online somewhere.

In the books Eric speaks 25 languages, or more. He learned english in the 70s at a community college. He is very diversified. :) Alexander is cool people and so down to earth. What Alan Ball needs to get right next season is to put him in the foreground.

I agree it is so sweet the way he acknowledges the person who is asking the question. When he does that sexy eyebrow thing or smiles, I'm just gone! He even makes eye-rolling look sexy. He's so down-to-earth, intelligent, and so respectful and appreciative of his fans, is it any wonder he has so many? So, he loves being naked? We need to find a way to make this happen as much as possible, as soon as possible. Although, the last episode of True Blood was a great start! Love this perfect man!

First time I saw him in 'Generation Kill' I thought to myself..."yummy". Now that I see him in TrueBlood, he's def in my top 1 (yes, I said 1)of sexiest men of my dreams. Alex definitly has a cheeky side. I'm loving Eric. I'm reading the books along with watching the series and I think Alex is doing a really great job with him. He's got him pretty close to what I imagined. He plays Erics light and dark sides very well.

Wow. He is the total opposite of Erick. Erick was always gorgeous to me but I never really saw him like that because I was crushing on Bill. Then when I saw the second season I started to see a different side of him and saw that he wasn't always the bad boy I thought he was. And he really does care. Erick's confidence is what makes him so hot.

I truly don't want to sound disrespectful, but I think most Americans are ignorant about the Swedish language and probably have never heard it spoken, only cheesy accents, mostly comedic. I know about Alex's father and you're probably correct about his time in US. He is obviously truly bilingual, which perhaps most Swedes are, so English is very natural. I do love him and enjoy hearing his voice in any language.

I am no big fan of vampire shows and movies in general,but this one is actually quite good.And as a scandinavian (norwegian) i think it is great that Alexander Skarsgård is one of the two actors that actually made a scandinavian character interesting in a Hollywood production,and not fall into the "weirdo with funny accent chategory".(The other one is Dennis Storhøy,playing "Hergeir" in the thirteenth warrior)

The Skarsgård's are soo talanted! I love that both sons of Stellan Skarsgård, Alexander and Gustaf, are following him in his footsteps. "I'm Scandinavian god damn it! We love to be naked." Haha, love it! And it's quite true, the thing about Swedish movies that it. It's not so complicated or tidy. Like the sexscenes in the Millenium movies. They are so raw and still beautiful.
