Ladies I just turned 55 last week and I also was this kid. 16, no car and a "best friend who I was desperately in love with. If needed me, I was on my way (in daddy's car) to his house. This was me in my early 20's. I dated a bad boy for 2 years. Even after we split up anytime he texted me and said, "come over" I would immediately leave my house and go over there. I did this so many times and for so many years until I finally sat down and thought to myself what am I doing? I'm only hurting myself and I went cold turkey. Stopped responding to him and I was so much happier after I did that. Now I'm in my early 40's and happily married. This song really resonated with me. It should be #1 on the charts!
