Alexandra Palace celebrates 80 years of television - BBC London News

Eighty years ago, the world's first television programme was broadcast by the BBC from Alexandra Palace.
When it launched TV was only on air for a couple of hours a day to avoid eye strain.
Now, Ally Pally is celebrating the landmark moment in broadcasting history. BBC London’s reporter Asad Ahmad was there.
