One of the most common questions I get is how I make my nice cream or smoothie bowls so thick and creamy. Many people struggle with this because they use too much liquid in their bowls and/or no frozen fruit. In this video I give you a full tutorial of how I make my perfect smoothie bowls with that fluffy, creamy and thick texture everyone wants!

If you don't have an expensive blender you can use a food processor and use the cheese grater attachment and a little almond milk and it'll come out really well. Also, it's super important not to over blend. Your blender/food processor heats up pretty quickly when you're using it and it'll start to melt the fruit. Blend for the minimum amount of time

Guys ! YES you can make an banana ice cream with a cheap blender ! But you just have to put your banana and blend, for me it turn into a small piece but next i take a spoon and push the banana in the bottom of the blender and blend you just have to repeat this 2/3 times and you have a banana ice cream without any milk ! When i put milk the ice cream melts faster so dont put milk or water :) (btw my english is not perfect uhu)

My vitamix stopped working before I got to finish but it came out soooooo good, thick and creamy. I let the vitamix cool down for an hour and was able to turn it on again, thank God! 😃

Tea Is spilled oh she called it right. And it’s not ice cream, it’s nice cream. Nice cream is like a thick paste of blended fruit , often milk or nuts too. It has to be cold , so it often tastes like ice cream, but way healthier of course. A smoothie bowl isn’t always cold. It can be warm too So sis, if you’ve got no idea whatcha talkin’ bout, just don’t :)

Actually Vitamix recommends speeding up to 10 pretty quickly when making thick things like nice cram, nut butters or hummus, because it activates the internal cooling fan and will actually cool your engine better than on the lower speeds when the internal fan is not on full blast. So using full speed actually protects you Vitamix from overheating and stopping :D You are more likely to overheat your engine making these things on low speed! (This information is from Vitamix themselves by the way, and I have the exact same blender as you and I love it!)

It’s just a tangy sweet chocolate flavor. 😋 Yum! Try it!

Great video :) Personally though, I make nice cream every day for breakfast, and I use 2 fresh bananas along with the jucie from half a lemon. Then I add around half a cup of frozen mango and about 8 frozen strawberries. This produces the same result more or less, and it's easier since I never have to freeze anything, can just buy already frozen strawberries and mango :P Cacao nibs are a great topping, and I usually add a handful of cashews into the food processor towards the end of the blending, just to add a few nut chunks in there. Great taste :)

Protip, buy one of those small single glass "personal size" blenders and they work just as well for things like this. They can blend as well as a vitamix but only cost like 15-30 dollars. It works because they use the power of a cheap blender but the glass is simply smaller so they have way more power proportionally. The downside is you can't make a bunch all at once but its not hard to work around.

If you do not have an industrial blender, but just a cheap wallmart blender (like i did) USE A FOODPROCESSOR. Because my blender caught fire while trying this. Not kidding guys. IT ACTUALLY CAUGHT FIRE!! My blender was a 220-240V 430Watt. I used bananas, strawberries, mango and blueberries. Nevertheless, the nicecream tasted great and I will definately make it again once i've bought a food processor.

Jhezrel Valentine Yes there is. I have experimented with many combinations of frozen bananas with other fruits:avocado, blueberries, strawberries, frozen pineapple, mangoes etc. ( and combinations of them) They each give their own distinct flavors to the mix and help avoid the boredom that can result from eating just bananas no matter how much you like them. There are tons of nondairy ice cream recipes on KZbin. It’s fun trying them out.

There is a banana flavour but I personally think a fresh banana tastes more "banana" than what a frozen banana does. Try mix with it combined with raspberries! you can use also use full fat thick coconut cream with any frozen fruit but it will be more creamy consistency if you use fruit with less water content (like bananas) as papaya ang mango :)

I used to religiously peel the bananas beforehand and put them into the freezer in plastic baggies. Then I got lazy and put them in plastic baggies WITH the skins on. I peeled them with a small paring knife. The skins peel off easily. Now I am even lazier. I just toss ripe bananas into the freezer without baggies. I have not experienced any difference in taste or quality of eating experience.

I used to do this back in the day and I tried at it the other day I don’t have a blender like you. I have a ninja blender and it has about six blades and I blended a few bananas and I added stuff and I really didn’t like it too much bananas. Is there anyway we can add like almond milk or regular milk to make it taste better?

About 3 medium regular bananas, 1/4 fresh pink pity (pink dragon fruit) or use frozen pink dragon fruit but then add a splash of plant based milk :) Thank you so much! 💜

My Vitamix blades always stop working... always. It just spins and nothing happens. I don’t even get to the crumbly stage 😂 AND ITS BRAND NEW!!! I don’t know what I’m doing wrong 😫

Ashley Davis happens to me also sometimes 😂 you have to use the stick and add enough fruit. If you’re not using fresh fruit in the bottom like I did here, you can add some liquid. But I think you have too little fruit in the blender 😬

Alexandra Andersson - FIVESEC HEALTH oh yeah? I thought I had too much fruit and that’s why it wasn’t working because I was adding more than the blender could handle 🙈 hahah

That happened to me too when I got mine last year. I thought I had broken it. I think it was because the frozen fruits were too much for the blades to handle. So I added a little liquid ( I think it was coconut milk), stirred the fruit to one side to let the liquid go on the bottom, and used the tamper. I think using the tamper is key. Did you read the manual before using it? I did not- just jumped right in and started making things. I still haven’t quite figured out what I did wrong on that first time. But I do remember that sick sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach thinking that I got a lemon after paying all that money. I would suggest that each time you try to make something, read the instructions fir that recipe and follow them to a T. It really is a marvelous machine, and I am glad I made the investment. Try avocado ice cream. It’s the “bomb.”

Deidre Sure. There are both dairy and non-dairy versions. I have only tried the non-dairy one, but it satisfies me. When avocados are ripe, they are naturally smooth and silky on the tongue. I use coconut CREAM (not coconut milk) because it produces a creamier dessert after freezer. 1. Cut up 2 large ripe avocados (they will be soft, not hard when you press them and dark- almost brownish green, not just green) 2. Place in a blender ( regular will do) . 3. Add 1-2 cans of unsweetened coconut CREAM ( I place them in the freezer overnight, but you can just chill them in the refrigerator. You can usually find both the coconut cream and the coconut condensed cream in either the BAKING products aisle or the International Foods aisle in the supermarket. You can add one cup of heavy dairy cream if you prefer. The amount of cream or coconut cream you add will be determined by whether or not you like a stronger avocado taste or milder. 4. Add a sweetener of your choice: honey, agave syrup, coconut condensed milk or dairy condensed milk. I used COCONUT condensed milk and found 1/2 can to be plenty for one batch. 5. Add flavoring if you like. I have experimented with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon OR 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Each one has its own charm regarding taste. 6. Whip all ingredients together in the blender. 7. Pour into glass baking dish. Cover with lid or plastic wrap. Place in freezer for several hours until slightly firm. If it hardens totally. it will be icier rather than creamy. So after you scoop it into a dish, let it thaw a little. It will then recover some of the creaminess. There are a handful of recipes on KZbin, but I did not follow any particular one strictly, because some had lime juice or lemon juice added or did not use any flavoring. So you will have to experiment with proportions of ingredients until you find your OWN recipe. I have also made it adding bananas to the mixture. Are use a vita mix blender like she uses in this video. Is that very high-powered. But I’m sure a regular blender works just as well, because the avocados are soft. Have fun 🤗

It's difficult to Count how many Frozen Bananas you used in your exact Recipe. One person used 6 but their Recipe had more Ingredients than yours. Would the Dragon Fruit or Pitaya Tropical powder work just as Well? How much Juice should we use so the Smoothie would still be Thick like yours. Thank you.

Chop ripe unfrozen bananas into smaller pieces and then freeze them overnight. Freeze any other small pieces of fruits that you like. Thaw them out for four or five minutes and then blend them quickly ... and quickly refreeze the results for awhile...your decision how long.
