why does your skin colour have anything to do with this? just curious..
@Covers-and-Commentary2 жыл бұрын
@@williamswayuk Um... since our skin is darker, the foundation, concealer and maybe some lipstick shades that she uses will naturally be different dark skin women do not wear the same shade of red as white women it just won't look right. watching someone who shares the same skin tone can show you exactly what certain products will look like on your skin. with makeup skin tone makes all the difference especially since for a long time makeup companies did not (and a lot still don't ) make a wide variety of foundations and shades for darker skin. When Rihanna started her line and literally introduced 40 different shades and over half catering to dark skin; then these companies started to follow suit. I sub to this channel because I learn from the things that we can share (eyeliner, How to blend, how to contour etc.) does that answer your question?

Juvia's eye primers are excellent and inexpensive for darker skin tones. I use medium. I also use the Anastasia for yellows and greens for that "pop". Sigma has an excellent primer in 3 shades, as well. Juvia's for dry skin - very wet Sigma for normal to slightly dry - it's buttery Anastasia for oily - it sucks up moisture like a sponge

I have deep skin and don't like the AHB primer because it is so light no matter how sheer I try to use. The formula is good but the colour doesn't work for me. My favourite primer till today is the Morphe and then the Wet'n'Wild because they're both translucent. They even work really good with light colours and less is more with both, especially the later one. I have hooded eyes but my shadow never creased, except that one time I used way too much w'n'w primer.

I have a hard time with colours staying put but the Elf primer is just awesome, after 6 hours my shadow is still there . I’ve just ordered the Wayne Goss mascara at your recommendation, so with this primer and Wayne’s mascara …. I can’t wait ! I’ve been using tarte tape shape , which is also an excellent product, but the browns and oranges tend to disappear, after an hour my orange transition is the same colour as my skin ?!? Anyway thanks Alex that was an awesome tutorial!!! As usual .

This is the only primer that I do not have any creasing at the end of the day. No joke. Not even with my multichromes. Big plus is that it goes on completely transparent yet still amplifies pigment. My eyes are partial hooded and normal skin, if that helps. You can even use it on your lips to smooth out lip lines and increase holding power of your liners/lipsticks. I am not looking back at any primers in my collection now.
