Looks pretty nice! As a mum I notices two things to improve if I may tell you: tassels on the crib are dangerous, so I would hang them on the wall or curtain, very out of reach 😉 second, I would have put shelving on top of the changing table to put all the creams and stuffs you need to change a diaper. As you said, they will arrange the room more later 😉

Yes! I saw her tie that on the crib and put the cushion inside and had to hide my eyes 🙈 I’m a nanny and have learnt that safest sleep is nothing in the crib but baby!

yea all us mom saw that tassel go on the crib and said NO! Lol but I knewwwww the comment section would let her know. you’re right, I would put it right on the wall as well cusz it’s so cute!

Also door hanging would just annoy me on the handle and will be a hazard for toddler time. My kid was a bipper.. Moroccan leather would not look good with bip, pee or poo on it ! :D

@@djjones7039 baby fingers can easily get broken in string. this is common knowledge for parents. there are plenty of sources you can find that talk about specifically what should be kept near a newborn or their crib as they grow. (hint the answer is nothing)

There is so much cuteness in this room! I looooove that wallpaper. The one thing I wish that you talked about in this video is that the dresser needs to be anchored to the wall. I’m hoping that either you or the parents did it, but I wish you had talked about it. IKEA furniture has has a history of falling on top of children, and it is really scary! Just something to keep in mind. 😊

I'm with you on kids clothes in adult sizes, Alexandra (and I'm 65) -- it's really only fair! They have the absolute best patterns images and designs. I go into kids clothing stores only to imagine what it would be like to wear their super cute clothes! This was an awesome makeover. Way to make such a tiny! room so usable as a nursery. Restful spacing of furniture and decor was very nicely done! Nice choices of furniture, rug, lamp as well as decor. As always looking forward to more of your videos! Keep up the great work!

Hi Alexandra, you did a great job in this video! You can also consider hanging the ikea spice racks down at the bottom of the wall where little ones can pick the book they want to read themselves :) also very nervous about the hanging lamp because babies can grasp the cord and take it down in a minute :/

Yes, that's VERY dangerous! I hope they remove the thing on the crib as soon as the baby starts crawling or even sooner!

I am concerned about the light cord and crib pendants thingie. The pendants should be ok while baby is an infant, but as soon as baby starts to squirm about, they could removed and hung on the wall. The cord could be removed and placed behind the dresser perhaps. Baby/child proofing is important.

I am so proud of your room for the newby little girl. It is a gem. All of it. Tho I am an old bat who never had kids I can get lots of ideas for my own space with the stool ,rug,closet paper and hanging lamp. The green is so good a choice,too. Thank you. Audible is useful!!!

Really loved the juxtaposition of the square angled side table and the curvaceous rocking chair! Seems like a missed opportunity to not have some twinkle lights, macrame, or (dare I say) tassels/pom poms on the funny edge on the left side of the wall that has the animal prints. Normally you highlight every architectural feature. Love the leather loops, definitely doing that. Thank you to both Alexandra AND Ashley, for not doing another generic pink princess room. Perfectly fine for anyone who wants one but it was so refreshing to see something new. Loved the color of the wallpaper and the print itself. I notice she had white IKEA baskets in her before pics and that IKEA has the same baskets in a color similar to the wallpaper so both could definitely look great in some of those shelves for different types of toys. Bravo!

Wow Alexandra 😍💗 this makeover was so good! I’m obsessed with that sun pillow and the rug is gorgeous! You chose perfect colors! I think in a nursery you need a littleeeee bit of color, and since the mum said she wanted more neutrals and simple/minimal colors, the colors and decor you chose were perfect. I’m obsessed 💕

My son is 19, so this was very bittersweet for me to watch. I remember the nursery days so well. I kept it really simple and I love that you did too. But the Moroccan touches, especially that rug! As always, I wait for the nitpicking to begin! And when you took so long to get to painting the accent wall with the sage green, I thought you weren't going to give her what she wanted and we were going to have an explosion of bitter chastising! This is a lovely room and what you did is so harmonious and beautiful. The rug is fabulous. It's nice that you knew she will be doing more and that you were able to concentrate on the beauty things and she can take care of the baby necessity things. Wonderful makeover! Love it so much.

Lovely design for the baby, adorable. I wouldn't worry about the tassels and cushion etc. in the crib, everyone. Alexandra just used them as cute decorative touches while the parents are waiting for the baby. Once the baby comes the tassel string can be hung across the window or curtain rod and the cushion used on the chair of course. The room is tiny but exquisite. 👍😊

Like your leather hook holder.... i made my own using a fabric belt that im not using. And lampshade using wood stick placemat. LOVE the rug! It is gorgeous! All the Moroccan elements are really cool! And the green of the wall is lovely. A perfect colour for a baby. ♥ The only things I would have done differently are to have put the DIY lamp further to the right, almost behind the chair (you wouldn't then need such a long extension cord...also a white cord would have been less obvious), then I would have staggered the shelves down toward the chair to fill up the wall space - the highest one beside the closet, the next one down and over to the right, and the lowest shelf down and closest to the chair. I hope you know what I mean. ;) Not that it matters, because that's just my personal opinion, and it looks good the way it is, too, and the parents are clearly delighted with the room! :D Yay! Another successful room makeover! Way to go, Alexandra. ♥

Using a broom or mop handle is always best to avoid blotchy painting. U get more coverage that way. The room looks amazing!

I’ve been an Audible member for years and my all time favourite is Ken Follett. I think I’ve actually listened to all his books and even bought some of his audiobook versions of his print books that I have, because I can listen to them much more often than actually read them. I’m kinda inbetween books right now so I will definitely check out your recommendations. P. S. Little girl plus Alexandra designing equals tassels or pom poms somewhere!!! Love the proportions of this room - how the chair and side table fit so well in the corner, how the bureau fits so perfectly in the niche, how there is so much open space in front of the crib and the beautiful rug can shine. Love the book shelves. I want to put the pouff under the rocker so mom can put her feet up as she nurses but have a clear path to the closet when she isn't. Think it will fit there. Great job again!
