I'm never impressed with anything that comes from Kylie. I got a lip liner and liquid lipstick from Ulta for something. I tried the lip liner and found it had broken way up in the base. The color just falls out of the pencil! The color was fine, not great (not even a good neutral), but the quality was super crap. I gave the lipstick away.

the thing is, with limited items like advent calendar, these things are produced months in advance and they take a gamble on how much they’re gonna sell/how much they’ll profit, so planning for details like skin tones and undertones is gonna be more costly and almost always leave some unsold leftovers, which is a bet they don’t want to take

I’ve seen a lot of people wearing it on tik tok it just gives a nude ombré lip. The lipstick looks a lot more pink in the tube/swatch but on the lips it’s more of a nude pink

It’s nothing crazy it’s a medium toned nude lip with a dark brown liner lots of brands have this type of shade/liner combo. it’s not too light so it doesn’t look ashy on darker skin tones. That’s why the liner works so well with it. I don’t have a similar tone to Kylie I’m North African & have an olive undertone. A lot of nude lipsticks do not look good on me, most look washed out & sallow but this is one of the few that does. I think you are just convinced that it’s not a good lipstick regardless of what anyone says

If you purchase one for $100, there should be at least that value in the products - generally a higher value is preferrable (i.e. $250 value for $100). I feel like most brands are getting away from that practice and just jumping on the advent calendar wagon because they are starting to see that they sell. However, most brands place the value based on the price of a full-size item, however, they stick travel/trial size items in the calendar (travel sizes are usually less than full sizes). Yes you give up the choice of choosing the products/colors, but there should still be a higher return value.

If I remember correctly (which I might be thinking of something else lol) but I think they advertised it as the lip liner being a slightly darker shade to try to help give the illusion of like shadows to make your lips look bigger. But that brown liner did not make any sense if you were trying to do that trick lol of the Kylie liner was the color of that second liquid lip it would make much more sense because it’s at least in the same color family. But that weird brown isn’t even really darker than the liquid lip it’s just a whole other tone which is so weird!

About a year ago Kylie did a rebranding/reformulation cause of a possible lawsuit between her and colourpop using the same lab. Her new products looks the same. She probably changed shade names around then, meaning one is an older item. That also explains why the lid didn't match the tube.

Having watched you unbox these Christmas calendars for the second year in a row, my takeaway is what you said: they’re getting rid of the poor performing merchandise and the price paid is a rip off for often sample sizes or much smaller than full sized products.

I would have liked to see her putting the skin care in day by day in the order you use them then put the lip products in so your skin is lovely by the time they get the make up stuff. I agree the last day should be like woo amazing. I hate when companies take advantage and just use their left overs for the calanders and sell it for full price 😒. I'd rather the sephora one. On a positive note I love your videos and this is my version of an advent calendar so thank you 😊 x

The lip liner and lipstick actually do go together, its meant to be almost like an ombré type beat, if you put the lip liner on your lips and then do a little of the lipstick in the inner space of your lips and blend it, it looks really nice and gives you a natural pouty lip! Trust me i didnt believe it till i tried it!

I got the Kylie Skin face wash, and I loved it the first time, but when I repurchased it, the product went from a clear shade, to a rusty brown shade within a couple weeks, and I kept it in the same spot I kept the first one. When it changed colors, it also smelled off, and it felt like it stripped my skin when I never felt like that before. So once I used up the 2nd bottle, I never repurchased again🤷‍♀️
