This is an awesome demonstration of the usefulness of the range masking and the power of Lightroom. I've done some of this with the colors option but I have never tried the luminance option. There are a few edits I've done recently that could be well served by knowing how to do this, and doing it better.

Thank you for sharing this. It is one of those tools that make Lightroom the one stop shop for 99% of required editing. I also enjoyed the way you used the radial filter off the top corner of your image to help with filters. This will be useful as my Samyang AF 24/2.8 FE has this issue.

Very interesting, I use luminance mask most of the time, and never color masks, with this example, it's clearer for me ! thanks again Alex Could be great to have a specific tutorial on the global adjustment on : clarity, dehaze and texture with some examples like you did for the range mask ! (sometimes I'm a bit confused on how to use and in which specific situation)
@AlexArmitage4 жыл бұрын
Gregory, I assume you mean touching on those tools in creative ways like I did here yeah? To be honest I had NEVER used the texture tool until this photo haha. But I do think this is a great idea considering I use these tools kinda outside the box for the photo. Ill try it in a few more photos before making the video but this is a good idea.
