The long blue dress with tie-back.... I just thrifted almost the same dress earlier this week!!! We are still in minus temperatures, but I put it on with black tights, combat boots, a long sleeved fitted t-shirt under and a blazer👍 Totally in love with it!!❤

Fit is a huge part also. Like I can appreciate the look of a moto jacket on someone else, but for my shape, the straight up collar is unflattering. Also, some people like a solid color more, while moto jackets have those stripes, logos and patches.

It was cool, & heavy, but not something that I personally got a lot of wear in 😎So Cal. Plus, shorter jackets don't necessarily hit me right🥺. Mine stopped just at the top of my hips. Felt like the hem was announcing: "TaaDaa...Here are HIPS!" As an hour-glass, I hate putting the 👁👁focus on that part of my anatomy. My flat (now practically nonexistent) behind & wider hips are 🚫 worthy of attention. If you must look at something, my small waist is a far better focal point. Great finds🛍 ! You looked awesome in everything! The purple top, blue floral dress & pinstripe jacket were my faves on you. Trinny of London joked it's a Cacket (coat+jacket) or Clazer (coat+blazer). Something you can keep on indoors. It's very flattering. Liked the gray with the pink skirt too...subtle print clash👏. It's so RARE to find a 🆒️ lightweight coat at that length. 🤗You can flout visual fashion "rules" to slim & elongate your frame bcos of your darling figure. The rest of us need to use every 🪄trick in the book to look our best. Wearing jackets with midi & maxi skirt lengths can be tricky😂. The longer your skirt⬇️, the better to go w/a cropped cardi or short jacket⬆️. Or, keep your jacket hemline longer⬇️ than your hem (or within a 🤏few inches of it). These options are 💯% more flattering than tossing on a blazer that hits you in your hips or top of your thigh😔. Plus, people ought to consider proportions ⚖️. If your skirt is long & slimmer, you can choose a more boxy jacket or jumper. If you pick a sweater, need to french tuck to raise⬆️ the focus👀 back to waist. If your skirt is fuller & adding extra volume, choose a more fitted or tailored top or jacket. Lastly, you can use the gray coat as a topper layer like a trench. Just need to corral a bit of the ⬅️volume➡️ in back. Since there's no sash🎀 to do that, you can get those elastic squares with a clip↔️ on each end that can grab excess fabric in the back. I have always been ahead of the trends. Back in the 80s, I ran into a convenience store just to grab some milk in my sneakers and housecoat. The clerks literally laughed out loud as I turned to leave. I am watching for my wide legged bell bottoms that I added inserts in the sides, like bandannas, to trend again soon. I also wore the same colored bandannas as tops by tying it around the waist and adding a string around the neck area to hold it up. 😄

I LOVE the quilted jacket. I believe that's a bed jacket or house coat but since it's shorter I would go with bed jacket. Those are one of my fav things to thrift. It would be really cute over the white dress you just got as well. Kind of a layered babydoll look!
