Yes Djokovic is now 37 and age is always a factor BUT make no mistake about this. Popyrin played his best ever tennis to beat Djokovic here. No fluke. Some incredible defense and offense combo.

37 is an important number in mens tennis . That's when lots begin to decline in form. But at World number 2 , Novak has done tremendously well to reach the Wimbledon final and win Olympic Gold Again his number 2 in the world and 37 years of age and 3 momths old . Goat.

It seems to me like Novak wanted to lose. He played very bad, too much slices(he uses it very rare), very short game and all game he only defended. He even didn't grunted during the match and it's really strange

Djokovic didn't prepare well, hasn't played a single match on hard courts prior to US Open, obviously he doesn't care that much, these days his "strategy" has been, the less hard work the better at the same time hoping to take as much as possible in terms of results. But it doesn't work that way, not even for him.

Don’t know why but when I see Novak got defeated by Poppy it gives me Joy. Maybe Novak was/is still an arrogant guy that disrespected to many players. Federer and Nadal don’t really like him not because he won 24 GS but because his behaviour the way he acts and talks.
