no jump combo?

This was the exhibition performance. It took place after the actual competition. Therefore, he took out some of the more difficult content; not just the combination jump, but also substituting a triple toe loop for a triple lutz on the second jump, as well.

Not nearly as bad as what happened in 1992.

To this day, I still don't think he should have won Gold, he just happen to skate a clean program.

There were others who skated cleanly, too. It was a matter of taste in style, as well. I think that if Elvis Stojko hadn’t popped his first triple axel in the LP and had actually gone on to perform the quad/triple combination, it would’ve put pressure on Alexei Urmanov to perform his quad, as well, and then we would’ve truly seen who the winner was. Because Elvis made an early mistake and replaced his combination jump with something slightly easier, it enabled Urmanov to skate more conservatively while still being able to win.

@@smoothALOE the terrible judging didn't help either.

@@normano3573 that’s a matter of taste. Do I think Stojko had the better program? Yes. Do I prefer Urmanov’s style of skating? Absolutely.
