Great video! Really fun to feel like I was there actually running through the streets of New York with you. Thanks for sharing your race, and well done on a good time in challenging circumstances. Happy 30th in a few weeks!

Fantastic report, professionally done everything and despite the fact that it was 14 sec short of improving the personal record at this distance is still a super pick. Huge congratulations. Maybe someday I will be able to come close to such results ;-) Greetings Young!👋✌

Nice results, especially given the crowding. I started at the back of corral D, best is around 23 minutes. Didn't race, but not quite party run this time. Was fun being able to read the signs, rather than be so focused in front of me (have had other races where I missed friends cheering since I was in the zone).

Thank you very much for the comment and sharing your story! What’s the best sign you read? 😬

@@AlexFilitti still easier than dating in NYC (sign was on the right hand side, after radio city, before the park)

Did a 5k on saturday(small local) with a buddy since tearing my plantar fascia in my foot, 21:24 which not my fastest but good to run fast again. Also #1 for the 40-44 age group I’ll take it 😂 Nice job on your race! I think you could have had the PB if not for slower corral start.

#1 French runner in yesterday's race ;-) #1 in your AG is amazing, congrats!! Keep it up!

Was good to watch you navigate through for a rapid time which definitely would have been a PB if you’d be starting in the right coral, but still brilliant 💪🏾👏🏽. POV with commentary was cool, thanks 🙏🏾 😊

😂 I haven't but man it's just amazing. Honestly I can't see any drawbacks and next time i'll try a half or maybe even full with it. Super comfy, great storage, feels like you're one with your kit.

I would love to know more about the power running. Do you have more details on this approach? And how do you increase the powet and speed?

Great race Alex! Might have missed it but can you advise what shoes you wore and how good of a job you felt they did?

New Balance Pacer v2 - they were amazing! I’d use them again for a 5/10k (and intervals sessions). Thanks a lot for your nice comment

I ran the same race. Although I am not nearly as fast as you, I did have two near miss collisions with pedestrians. Caused me stop short each time. Couldn’t back in my zone. It was annoying. But the atmosphere and the day was awesome.

Thanks for your comment. Last year pedestrians were blocked a bit better if I remember well. How did it go for you?

Those km splits add up to way faster than 16:48?
@AlexFilitti4 күн бұрын
Yes I ran 5.22km according to my GPS watch and footpod. The last 0.22km are 3:06/km. All the data is available on Strava :)

i think you wouldve smashed the PB if you were in the right corral haha

I like the footage, but not a good race to go for a PR, we can see all the hobby joggers that you have to run around, especially in the first kilometer. Even if you were in an early corral you would have had the same.
@AlexFilittiКүн бұрын
Ok I didn’t know that this race wasn’t ideal to go for a PR. It’s actually reassuring to hear from you as I was a little sad that I didn’t make it to a faster corral
