I would like to quickly mention here about the beautiful family I am staying with! Diana and Denis. They have adopted children themselves here in Moscow. I have been in touch with this family for over 5 years now and I continue to do more projects with Diana who runs her own Organisation for adoptive families here in Russia! I have a few projects and videos in the past with Diana. She also wrote the foreword for my I'm Adopted Book which was published here in Russia. I will update you more on Diana and her beautiful family soon :) Dinner was done quickly and that was my fault. My apologies!

I am a cow-eater, I don't really like lamb. However this dish looks amazing, great work! Your mom, back home, must be really proud of what your learned from them in NZ.

Well done, and she loved taking the photos because for some Russians, it is still new for a man to prepare such a feast, particularly on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland holiday.

Hi Alex, Your vlog came up in my recommendations, fortunately I had just finished a beautiful dinner cooked by my husband, it was Crispy Chicken steak, with Cabbage, Calliflower, White🥔 & Sweet potato mashed, it was delicious, the way your meal looked super scrumptious! I hope your Mother is keeping well, she did a very brave thing, giving you up so you would have a better start in life! Best wishes from the 🇬🇧

I always let the vegetables develop a partial a brown crust or caramalise them, yours were a bit boiled and broiled. Don't sheep-shaggers eat home-made gravy? Also I put swede, parsnip garlic, carrots and onion in to roast with the pumpkin and potatoes...and even beetroot. Fresh or frozen peas are a very important part of the roast- served with mint sauce or at least steamed with mint leaves. Also- Rosemary is essential when roasting lamb!

Our culture in Canada leans more toward beef and pork. I love lamb but you couldn't get anyone else in my family to touch it. My father's and grandfather's generation were forced to eat dehydrated mutton when they were overseas in WWII. Their reaction to any sniff of sheep is complete revulsion.

Wait a minute. No recipe? You post a food video and no recipe? How dare you. You need to do better than that. You added pumpkin and white potatoes? I never would've thought of pumpkin. Of course, I have a friend who would've added sweet potatoes with white potatoes. I'm wondering how the pumpkin comes out now.
