This didn't really sell me that the 7 is much better

I thought this comment was going to be criticism at first 😂 But I agree! Most people don't upgrade every year, so it felt like a worthwhile comparison

I have the Galaxy watch 4 Classic and I'm considering upgrading to the 7 ultra but honestly, all I see are minor upgrades, nothing worth spending $600+ bucks on a "brighter screen, 10% faster load and blatant apple knockoff look". By now, using the ultra version is more of an embarrassments than a piece that you would flex with your peeps. "Hey look, this loser is using an apple watch knockoff, lame!"
@jeankim18844 ай бұрын
@@jeinnerabdel I have a really hard time believing you are an Android user at all, let alone a Galaxy Watch one. 10% faster, are you for real? Samsung claims the new chip is 300% more powerful and honestly it seems about right judging by how all the lags and microfreezes of GW6 and Classic simply vanished from a new model, I find it really hard to believe that this jump is unnoticeable to a user of a 3 generations old watch. It also begs a serious question how come you still are an Android user if you are so easily peer pressured by a crowds opinion. I got laughed at regularly by the old shattered 6S users for having last or second to last generation Galaxy S up until like 2-3 years ago, its not like their opinion was any relevant to me. After all you always have an option to completely switch to IOS if an opinion of a random stranger is so important to you, its not like there is a big difference nowadays. With all the achievements of modern tech choosing between Android or IOS is now a matter of preferred ecosystem, not one or another devices superiority
@jeinnerabdel4 ай бұрын
@@jeankim1884 I see your point and I agree to some extent. The last time I used an iPhone was with the iPhone 4s so... yeah, I'm team Android. That being said, besides Huawei, Samsung is the top tier company in the world so when we pay top tier money, you expect the "Wow factor" to be there on each new generation. The series 7 compared to series 6 is... what the fold 5 is to the fold 4... virtually nothing has changed. A bit more of responsiveness... yes, a better battery (if you turn most things off), yes... is that worth $600+ on a watch? that's when I disagree. I still dont understand why people defend minor upgrades from manufacturers asking a bunch of money for the same stuff every year. Even the crappy huawei watches have better battery life and have practically the same features (Samsung's heart rate monitor and other features suck big time, not even close to being accurate). So yeah, on top of that... let's copy apple too with their horrendous orange straps and squarish form factor. Again, we need to wait like 5 generations to see an actual difference (I still wear my Frontier 3 from time to time and still feels/looks cool).
@jeinnerabdel4 ай бұрын
@@jeankim1884 Also, I rock a Samsung s23 ultra, that phone looks more premium than any iPhone (Apple, the source of all evil in tech sticks to the same design like for 5 generations too, eww!) Have you ever had a friend who has a cheap knockoff piece that is meant to "brag" about? That's how you look wearing this watch. All other form factors from Samsung have looked different and even more elegant than Apple's watch but man... the ultra version is just cringe.

Great content. I traded my watch4 44mm for the 7ultra. And oh my, what a difference. With power saver on, I'm getting 5.12 days of battery and really not giving up a whole lot in return. I still get a lot of my health monitoring, have on adaptive brightness on, AOD off, and tap to see. Compared to my watch4 44mm. What a breath of fresh air, not sweating about charging my phone. Two charges per week😊

I've had my watch 4 for 2+ years now. And I'm still using it. The original black rubber band is still fine, but I bought another band to match my outfits. I don't think I'll be buying another one anytime soon. 😂😂 I only use it for time, running- cycling- steps- counts, notifications, and body metrics 😊 measurements. That's all.

I have the watch 4 classic 46mm. I wanted the 7 ultra. The Garmin Fenix is built like an indestructible tank. Samsung will have to put a larger battery that goes a week for me to consider getting a new Samsung watch.

The review was basically that the Watch7 is lacking in most things but the screen brightness. GPS is inaccurate, the Body Readiness is lame, and the band is an unknown. You like the battery life and the screen. Thanks, I'm going to walmart today to pick up a Warch4 46mm for $99.

Excellent real-life review 🙂 I have a Watch 4 44mm (with LTE that I've never used due to the unreasonably high price of the additional eSIM plans. I just bought a little waist pouch to keep my phone with me instead 😅). I recently received a 40mm Watch 6 40mm Bluetooth as a freebie when I got my latest phone and have to say there is little to no improvement over the Watch 4. The screen technology seems to actually be a bit of a downgrade. It's good to see the Watch 7 finally represents a reasonable upgrade, although I think I'll get the BT version this time 😅

I came to this video just because I wanted to know how much Samsung watch series has evolved and how much more advanced watch7 is compared to watch 4. I own watch4 and it's been a great watch but I've been wondering if it's time to upgrade to a new one, I haven't seen anything from Samsung yet that would change my mind enough to buy the watch7 for example. maybe I'll wait for watch 8 or even 9. :) thanks for the video though. ps. i would really hope that Samsung would put more new tech and effort into new watches, i feel like everytime they release a new watch it's just the same with maybe a little bigger battery or slightly brighter screen but i want something major.
