I think people are missing that this song was *made* specifically for the Death Stranding soundtrack, which overall features a lot of songs that use mellow synth beats and is meant to be more atmospheric. One thing I've noticed with vocalists of metal-turn-rock bands is that they scream like vocalists from bands who have always been rock (i.e. not very well), rather than maintaining their metal screaming technique. Might be lack of practice, lack of heart, or lack of ability in the case of Oli. Doesn't make them any worse, but does make me cringe a bit.
