My last hardcore show I saw was $5 in 2005 at the Living Room in Providence. Scarlett, Black Dahlia Murder, As I Lay Dying, and Everytime I Die was headlining. Show was nuts. Kids were climbing the support pillars, shimmying across the beams, and dropping on the crowd. There were only like 12 feet from the floor, but it was still awesome.

YES! This is the song that got me into Hardcore! In the early 2000's I was looking for new music and this showed up late night on MTV or The Box and I was blown away. Metallic Hardcore like Earth Crisis or Bellako, and melodic metalcore like As I Lay Dying or Killswitch Engage. Hatebreed isn't really that metal influenced though.

"Hardcore" lmao. Hardcore is a subgenre of punk. Bands like Minor Threat, Black Flag, Bad Brains, Drive Like Jehu, Rites Of Spring, Moss Icon, THOSE are hardcore bands. Metalcore is a blanket term for any band that combines hardcore with an extreme genre of metal. Saying Hatebreed is hardcore is like saying Godsmack is nu metal.

I LOVE HATEBREED! I've seen them live a number of times and they get the crowd going. First time I saw them in 2007, "I Will Be Heard" was the final song they played and they forced 5 separate mosh pits into one giant pit......I was in the very middle of it all.

Hatebreed is purely motivational. Something I actually overlooked when I was younger (as hardcore/metalcore were not genres I looked into until I heard As I Lay Dying) and when I found them out again and actually listened, they quickly became a favorite of mine. Never bad to have a positive message, even behind the aggression.

I always liked Hatebreed when I was younger! I used to jam them for different things and there live show is one of the most brutal I been to. But if I remember right they had a couple other songs besides this one that stick out in my head and there maybe more. The true hatebreed fans can let you know but " Destroy Everything " and " In Ashes They Shall Reap " were great songs as well.

Hatebreed has been apart of the seen for over 20 yrs. They are definitely not metalcore, but are loved by metalheads of all kinds. A lot of their songs are about rising over your oppositions and taking control of your life. Also a lot of their song talk about fighting back at society and taking revenge of those who hurt you. I love this band and have followed them from their first album. Seen them live many times. One of my favorite songs is Beholder of Justice. Plz react to that one if you double dip.

The funny thing is that I don't listen to Hatebreed on a regular basis, But, when I saw them in concert in Pennsylvania several years ago, it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. There was just so much energy. That's also the only time I stayed away from the mosh pit. It genuinely frightened me.

hatebreed is hardcore. no problem, everyone not familiar with harder music makes that mistake... definitely right about the power. hardcore is usually not that much my thing, but it definitely has that power to it, that even rivals a lot of metal. this shit is harder than any maiden or black sabbath. even better when you have metal bands with hardcore or crust influences.

Fun fact: The guitarist for Hatebreed got interested in making beats. Did a short lived project with Daryl Palumbo called House of Blow (Afghani Black is an amazing song). At the first and last Tattoo the Earth festival (2001or maybe 2002 I think) my friends and I somehow convinced a roadie for Hatebreed too let us backstage. We ended up meeting several members of Slipknot, we met Mudvayne and Slayer (you'd think that guys in a band as huge as Slayer might be a bunch of stuck up jerks but they were all the coolest nicest dudes ever). It was fucking awesome. I was in heaven and the best part was we weren't even supposed to be back there. Just three 19 year old guys hanging out and drinking beers with the bands we loved. Thanks for this video, Alex. When I'm sitting around feeling mopey about not having crazy cool experiences in my life this video reminded me that I've seen some pretty awesome shit.
