Tarja is NOT one of the best singers in any way...opera style isn't harder to learn than many gutteral styles and she does only that in the same exact style (you can achieve forms of variation with opera style only, but she doesn't). But Kimberly's voice is nothing special either from what I've heard from her...she sure does sound very metal compared to many others, but Floor Jansen is arguably better in that regard and still sings opera, growls and clean. And the chick from Within Temptation often sings in a range that seems unbelievable to someone who knows the usual limits of the human voice. And I really have nothing against Kim's voice, but it's really not that big of a deal...plus it's pretty agreed on that she is the sole reason this band wasn't more successfull. She was the girlfriend of a future guitar-idol in his makings which was her way into Synergy and there she was paired with an all-star line-up. Marco from Nightwish, Jesper from InFlames/Hammerfall, Alexi and Roope from Children of Bodom and the drummer went to Lordi. Kim was amongst legends and is the only one of them, not only to make no success, but not go on to become part of one of the greatest bands in their country. Hard to debate against that

Well, since nobody mentioned it on the last two pages, I'll do again: That guy in the video is Alexi Laiho, lead singer and guitarist of Children of Bodom and guitarist of Sinergy. The latter made this cover, but the vocals are not done by Laiho but by Kimberly Goss, his ex-wife and lead singer of Sinergy. Hope to prevent one or two stupid questions. Song is medi-cool.

Malmsteen's version sounds MUCH fuller and more powerful, but I give Kudos to Alexi's version and for trying as well. This song is a bitch to play and it proves Abba's songwriting ability as well. Overall a 7 out of 10 on this one.

Well, it seems I was misunderstood once again... ABBA is timeless and the song is fantastic. Yngwie is awesome and he is a fantastic guitarist. Alexi gave his best to the song and it is hard to follow 2 masters, but he did pretty good despite who he follows after. That is all I am trying to say.

@MrJuico1337 No it does not decades, that's a bit of an exaggaration. Of course it depends on how many hours you play per day. I played 8-12 hrs every day on my most active years. Of course natural talent comes into play too. I_could_ play some of his stuff when I was at the peak of my technique. Also I have a friend who plays Yngwie, he hasn't played decades either, maybe 15 years, or maybe nearing 20 years now. Yngwie was his idol in regards to the axe, and he did master the style in 10 years.

@MetalWarrior95 Thats bullshit in regards to a younger bloke not being able to play Yngwies stuff. There are SO many that can, all it takes is long arduous hours, rinse repeat rinse repeat. I am not meaning to diss Yngwie with this, but people tend to have this funny notion about guitar playing being something that needs decades to master. It aint THAT hard :)
