No, Alexis! Thank you.. I'm sure I'm not the only parent of young girls who watch this channel. You're showing my daughters how important it is to get outside and live, that it's okay to get dirty, to break that mold of "girls have to be cute". You're teaching young girls, like my daughters, important skills, and how to be resourceful. And I can't thank you enough!
@Chompchompyerded

It is so good to see young women today doing this sort of thing. I used to do it all the time, but I'm 73 years old now, and haven't been able to get out in a long time. I used to be considered strange for doing it, but I didn't care. I guess I was a bit of a Tomboy, but it, and the kayaking I did in the summer months instilled in me a degree of self-confidence that other women my age did not possess. I do hope that it does the same for you. Keep on learning about and living in wild places. Keep this ancient knowledge alive. Next step is to learn how to find food even in the winter so that you don't have to bring much of that along. In the summer time the outdoors is a giant larder. The only reason people get lost and starve to death out there is because they don't know what's good to eat and how to prepare it. In the winter, it's considerably harder to survive, and you really have to know quite a bit and work hard at it to get enough to stay alive. Even so, it is possible to do it. Another thing you will want to learn is how to make useful tools out of the materials at hand. One skill you will want to learn is how flint knap. Learning to fish, trap, and hunt using only materials you can find are also skills which are important to learn. My son and my grandkids were uninterested in learning about how to live in the outdoors, and haven't been interested even in old indoor activities such as how to cook on a wood burning stove, or how to make sourdough. I have sourdough starter which has been in the family from further back in time than we have ancestors who wrote about it. It has been going since at least as far back as my great-great grandmother on my maternal grandmother's side of the family, but no one in my family is interested in it, so it will die with me. No one wants my (originally my great grandmother's) wood stove either. They are trying to get me to sell it, but I still use it to cook and bake. I'm not certain I'd know what to do with a gas or electric stove, and besides, why would I want to go to all that expense when what I have works fine? They can sell it for scrap after I'm gone just as easily as they can now. I do hope you keep learning. If there is any information that you can't find anywhere, feel free to ask me. I'm a living anachronism, and I know a lot of old and lost ways, and I would be delighted to share some of it before I leave this life behind.

Nothing better than building a bushcraft jungle gym, turning it into a shelter, then enjoying a nice steak and a brewski after working in the cold all day! Building a leanto out of just sticks logs and debri is a TON of work. Nice job!

This video showed me alot ? NEVER UNDERESTIMATE , WHAT A LADY CAN DO ? Good Job and I can't wait to see what her shelter looks like when She's done. Cause, this lady is full of surprises and I think 🤔 It's gonna be awesome 👌

I particularly like your fire building. When I was younger (67 now) I had a scoutmaster in Boy Scouts who was the definition of an outdoorsman. We weren't allowed to use matches to start a fire. Usually a ferro rod, but I have started a fire with a bow drill (when my arm was MUCH younger).
