Gotta love Griz getting in the canoe.... graceful as a cat!! Love the video. Always a pleasure watching what you conjure up. You definitely have some of the most beautiful places to get to. Satellite communications is a good investment, I pulled the trigger on one myself this year. With all the hiking and kayaking I do by myself, being able to get help in areas with no cell service is not only a good thing, it's a smart thing. "My little Rock!!"

Totally need to confess my envy at all the absolutely beautiful spots you visit on your treks. What I liked about this video is the message that any day can turn into a quick adventure. I so much want to do a canoe trip to some little island somewhere and camp out overnight. Love to see Griz being rocked into puppy ecstasy by the gentle movement of the water. He's pretty quick and may get a squirrel yet! Glad to know the other channel is doing well. I'm looking forward to seeing the collaboration video at some point. Have you ever considered doing some writing (like a book) about your adventures? You definitely have a deep sense of the beauty of nature and how you become so present and so YOU when you're out in the wilderness. You have a lot to share about what it means to spend time alone in the woods. Once again, a wonderful video! Peace!

Always a pleasure to watch your videos. What you are doing is real wilderness adventures. This is what Canada is all about. 3 friends and I camped on Crown Land in Quebec this past Victoria Day Weekend. We brought my Sea Eagle 420X as a canoe/kayak. Two of our phones went out, haaaaaa! xD I was saying to my friends : "Imagine doing this type of thing before the Internet existed. We would have to use paper maps and a real compass.". They replied that many people today do not know how to read a map. None of us have your skill-set, though. Speaking of Crown Land, our Head Of State, Queen Elizabeth II, speaks fluent French :D

That was really sweet of your husband to come out there to help you with his surprise meeting. He seems like a nice guy. I can’t speak for anyone else but do you think it would be a good idea to show a canoeing video where the canoe tips over and how to get back in one when they do that? That’s one thing that I’ve always wondered is how people do that. Merry Christmas.

I watched a lot of your previous vids and always found something missing. You were never truly happy. When you talked about Brandon on the way home, your eyes were shining like the sun! Finally , you are a happy "camper" (sorry couldn't resist). Brandon has brought out the spark in you. Be Happy. Stay Happy> Both of you! You two are a match. And it shows in your videos. Your confidence in your self and your relationship is growing by the minute. So the old romantic in me says, Keep Shining! and Brandon, keep stoking that shine!

I like your attitude and videos. Grew up canoeing, son of a canoe builder. When canoeing your balance will improve dramatically if you put a pad on the bottom and kneel with your butt resting against/sort of on the front edge of the seat. The centre of gravity will lower significantly and you can brace yourself against the sides if conditions get rocky.
