anonymous artist that makes no since because when you think about it Stella is constantly being held up to the unrealistic standards that her family has. And Wen’s dad is dating a girl who might as well be the same age as him, and on top of that it’s incredibly uncomfortable when you first get a new stepparent cause it kinda feels like replacement. So yeah they do have problems, and quite honestly I would say that Stella and Charlie kind of have the same problem considering it’s families and high standards.

I'd say that because the characters are supposed to be pretty much outcasts, they do not know how to reach to others, so the lemonade is the ice breaker, the thing they have in common. Also maybe a symbol for outcasts, since only "losers" like them go to drink from that forgotten vending machine, which is why when people want to remove it, it's a symbol for how they were removed from social circles for not being popular enough. The fight for the lemonade is a pretext for their fight to be heard.

I'm probably in the minority of Lemonade Mouth fans here but "She's So Gone" was my LEAST favorite song. Even compared to the other band's stuff (I can't remember what they were called, because I keep thinking they're one name but I KNOW that band was in Scott Pilgrim not Lemonade Mouth) "She's So Gone" sounds EXACTLY like Mo was going, "Oh look at me! I'm so EDGY NOW. Ooh! Don't you wish you had held onto me?" And the framing of it with her singing like that didn't help. But then again, I really thought Mo was the least interesting character in the movie......... Sorry..... and please don't roast me too hard for it if you feel strongly in the opposite direction....

I feel like the main thing I liked about this movie when it came out, and still like now, is that they acknowledge how garbage music departments can be sometimes in high schools. Maybe not to this level of “banished to the basement”, but shitty nonetheless. Like, sports teams do get a majority of the funding in an average high school from what I’ve learned. And the music department either gets the smallest amount or nothing at all. The theater and choir programs all around my area haven’t gotten money from their schools in decades, basically forcing students to raise the money for props, costumes, etc, all by themselves.
