Two more draw backs for the Lexus TX: TX's 3rd row has two seats vs 3 for the Buick and TX needs premium fuel vs. Buick's regular so even if its MPG is higher with a hybrid system the cost of fuel should be pretty much the same. I will go with this Buick instead of TX

This Enclave blows the Lexus TX and Acura MDX out of the water in design alone. I think they did a better job of executing an upscale interior and exterior design than Mazda has with the CX-90 as well. The technology comparisons will be embarrassing for Mazda, Toyota and Honda. Reliability roughly the same as those Japanese brands and luxury/comfort is actually in Buick’s favor again as the TX doesn’t hold a candle to this in that regard. The Buick is also more spacious & practical even if it were the same price of the Lexus or Volvo I could see many reasons why a family would chose it over them. Buick did a good job with the packaging, interesting that the Enclave will also be thousands cheaper than those offerings. I didn’t expect that.

It’s so hard to find a comfortable ride these days, I think the industry is run by car enthusiasts who enjoy sport tuning, Buick is perhaps the last bastion of comfort, but seldom do they advertise their soft tuned suspensions. I’m left wondering if this model adheres to the ethos of comfort. I feel there’s allot of GM brands where a sport tuning buyer would gravitate towards. To me sportyness feels antithetical to “Luxury” which isn’t to say sporty cars can’t be premium or high end, it’s just not driving a massage. It’s really a state of mind, perhaps we are all too high strung these days to remember what it feels like to relax.
@tomfranquelli28844 ай бұрын
I already liked the broken one, but Ill like this one too! Buick is underappreciated in the quasi-premium segment. And as crazy as it sounds, at until 60 grand the Avenir is honestly still a bargain compared to any German or Japanese competitor. Not to mention the running costs! The same motor as the Traverse + some sound deadening is still going to be very quiet and refined, and the cost of maintenance is the same as the Chevy. Now, of course, there are no sporting aspirations anywhere to be found, but as a family truckster to drive cross-country? It makes a lot of sense to me.

Call me old fashioned but I don't care for the all digital screen, I find it very gimmicky and would think it would be a big expense if it went down. Also I would worry about eye fatigue on long trips and the fact that nearly every manufacturer is coming out with the same 30 inch horizontal display is boring. Kia, Hyundai, Cadillac and Mercedes all have the same look. Blah! I also prefer tactile buttons for the HVAC system but these look like they were taken from a cheap boombox. The rest of the interior screams cheap GM with the look of the door trim and the cheap soft touch plastic "fake" stitching. Too much shiny piano black for the segment it's trying to compete in.
