Buick isn’t supposed to be fast, fuel efficient or sporty. They are known for being giant vehicles that float down the road with 10/10 reliability. We don’t need yet another brand to be a sports car with 40mpg. Buick needs to be a Buick first and foremost,

Agree. Only thing to consider is that our 2016 LaCrosse has 304 HP and does 0-60 in around 6 seconds. Gets 22 city and 30 highway. It floats while being spotry and luxurious. Has a fantastic road presence. Reliability has been great. Buick is never the best at any one thing... it is the best at doing everthing well and for a price cheaper than the compeition. I have to say, the Encalve and the TX are my favorite options in this segment, as much as I love the TX, I have to give to Buick, the interior does look better than the TX and I think the color scheme has a lot to do with that, although I do prefer the powertrains in the TX tho, plus it has heated and ventialted rear seats, which is a pretty big deal for me as Texas dweller

This looks amazing. Buick really outdid themselves🎉 The GH and TX are officially toast. They’re history. They can’t compete. The enclave Alex is 9K cheaper and better than the TX. If it were the other way around where the enclave is 9k more then absolutely yes it’s totally worth the cost. Paying more for a TX and getting a truly mediocre product is asinine. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: The TX falls apart in just about every way possible like the Mitsubishi mirage does. The enclave is cheaper and better. The best of both worlds. Spare me the pathetic sales and the mythical reliability comments like that even matters 😂

This Enclave blows the Lexus TX and Acura MDX out of the water in design alone. I think they did a better job of executing an upscale interior and exterior design than Mazda has with the CX-90 as well. The technology comparisons will be embarrassing for Mazda, Toyota and Honda. Reliability roughly the same as those Japanese brands and luxury/comfort is actually in Buick’s favor again as the TX doesn’t hold a candle to this in that regard. The Buick is also more spacious & practical even if it were the same price of the Lexus or Volvo I could see many reasons why a family would chose it over them. Buick did a good job with the packaging, interesting that the Enclave will also be thousands cheaper than those offerings. I didn’t expect that.

And as crazy as it sounds, at until 60 grand the Avenir is honestly still a bargain compared to any German or Japanese competitor. Not to mention the running costs! The same motor as the Traverse + some sound deadening is still going to be very quiet and refined, and the cost of maintenance is the same as the Chevy. Now, of course, there are no sporting aspirations anywhere to be found, but as a family truckster to drive cross-country? It makes a lot of sense to me.

It’s within 1 mpg in the city and 3 on the highway in an AWD Enclave, if we’re talking about the Turbo i4 Explorer. It has more horsepower, more torque and is bigger. Its transmission also has two less gears (8 vs 10) which may affect its highway gas mileage. But all in all it’s perfectly reasonable mileage in this segment for a vehicle of this size. Basically matches the Palisade and Telluride with more horsepower and torque.

The MDX Type S is less than 30 more horsepower than this, at 355. The standard engine is less at 290. The Volvo with the hybrid system is going to cost you another 10 grand at minimum, considering it starts at $71,000 for a base plug-in hybrid model, and you won’t be getting many extra features for that price. The exterior design isn't too bad but the interior aside from the seats looks cheap. I am so tired of the dashboard length screens and this one with the swoop on the ends would make me feel like someone with giant cat eye sunglasses is spying on me. Call me old fashioned but I don't care for the all digital screen, I find it very gimmicky and would think it would be a big expense if it went down. Also I would worry about eye fatigue on long trips and the fact that nearly every manufacturer is coming out with the same 30 inch horizontal display is boring. Kia, Hyundai, Cadillac and Mercedes all have the same look. Blah! I also prefer tactile buttons for the HVAC system but these look like they were taken from a cheap boombox. The rest of the interior screams cheap GM with the look of the door trim and the cheap soft touch plastic "fake" stitching. Too much shiny piano black for the segment it's trying to compete in. I believe all Buicks are made in China and it looks like it. I'll take a Lexus or even a Mazda CX 90 over this any day.
