Just bought a new Ford Fusion hybrid in ice storm blue. It's being delivered and I can't wait. I haven't driven a Ford since I was in high school back in the mid 1970's. My grandpa would be proud of me; he always owned a Ford.

I have a Ford Fusion Hybrid 2015. The car is a dream! Very quiet, extremely fun to drive, comfortable, and the fuel economy is on par with older Priuses. Planning to drive it for the next 20 years, until it starts falling apart.

i bot a 2012 hybrid 2 weeks ago, and i love it. took a 167 mile road trip just the other day and got 44.7 miles to the gallon on that trip. above the average they say u might get. and ive gotten 47 in the city, above what they say u might get.. im also a six feet six inch man, and it was comfortable for me. was almost able to stretch all the way out leg wise.

I've been getting 43 mpg (lesser in cold weather). The way you drive is key. Drive the Fusion Hybrid like a Mustang and you *might* get around 30 mpg. However, if you're driving in heavy traffic conditions (like rush hour in LA,NY,Chicago), this car can give you good MPG. The more you cruise, the better. The less you jump off the line, the better. You don't have to drive like an "old" person, but stay calm and keep a light foot. You'll be rewarded!

Always can count on great, unbiased reviews from this channel. No tropes on hybrids being slow or bothering other drivers like other channels. Just clear, concise information you can trust. On the black interior, I love it. I can’t stand the tan/beige interiors. An all black cabin option is always my first choice and I’ll never purchase a car with any range of brown inside or out again. Charcoal/black just feels more inviting, warming, welcoming. I’ll note that I also don’t like light colored walls in my house either, it feels too industrial/business/clinical. To each their own. I really miss my 05 civic hybrid and looking for options that are 40+ mpg and the styling inside and out for this car is acceptable (I’m picky). The gauge cluster on the civic hybrid is what really draws me back to it but the age of that model makes finding one not driven into the ground difficult. My current vehicle gets 21 mpg on a good tank, usually around 17. Thanks and appreciation for being one of the most respectable reviewers out there and hope for your continued success! :)

We are working on getting one to review. In the mean time, I suggest checking out our take on the Ford C-MAX Energi, the drivetrain is the same in both vehicles.

Good review - a couple of comments You are the ONLY reviewer to ever get the full 47 mpg from this car. Would have liked to know if you did anything different. Thanks for mentioning the Kia (many don't) - I definitely think the Optima is a better looking machine.I also think acceleration and handling are a Kia advantage. Thanks for the demo on the lane / steering control. I felt you should have mentioned the package it comes with. It adds $10K to the price.

The Ford Fusion may look better than the Toyota Prius but, the Fusion doesn't have anything on the Prius' mpg.
@raymondramirez91779 жыл бұрын
+Dark Soldier MPG isn't the only value of any car. If it was, you would buy a tiny one-cylinder, single-seat minicar! Besides, driving and riding in a Fusion is extremely superior over a cheap Prius!
@theodoredeleon66606 жыл бұрын
Guy calls a Prius cheap. I can assure you the longevity with Toyota hybrids will destroy Ford's. If you pay attention you can see many generation 1 Prius still operating.
@JCWiley23005 жыл бұрын
@@theodoredeleon6660 Cheapness vs longevity. Yes, Toyotas have pretty much bulletproof reliability. But Toyotas also feel like tin cans. It's a perception thing.

@@JCWiley2300 whatever. I can assure a Lexus will destroy anything Ford has. Lexus is Toyota
@JCWiley23005 жыл бұрын
@@Tuck_Frump yes, Lexus is made by Toyota, but Toyota also uses a hell of a lot more sound-deadening materials on its Lexus cars than Toyotas like Prius and Camry. Believe me, I've ridden in plenty of them, even brand new, and you'd swear there was a door slightly ajar. In a car wash it sounds like the water jets are going to perforate the side doors.

Camrys are crap
@SirtubalotTX10 жыл бұрын
Motortrend got 7.2 and 92 out of a current gen Camry Hybrid so you are correct. Also, after Ford got in trouble for the errant gas mileage ratings for both the Fusion and Cmax hybrids..(including getting sued and changing the ratings twice) they changed the tuning on the cars affecting output. That's why the later Fusion/Cmax hybrids are not accelerating as quickly. Despite what some people want to say or think.. The Camry Hybrid is the only hybrid in this segment that consistently gets and even beats it's epa gas mileage ratings. The Accord hybrid has also gotten some flack. Anyone don't believe me? Go check out fuelly.. youtube and different forums.
