Throughout your observations, I could sense the same Napoleonic attitude in Vladimir Putin. The ironic fact is that Russians elected Putin through a "democratic election system" for 20-plus years and he now dreams of becoming another ZAR. India's Modi or Turkey's Erdoğan aspire to the same thing - modern populism trend. The moral of the story: people must not trust fully the words of a candidate who aspires to run for election, nowadays, in democratic ways. Unfortunately, we, people tend to forget the history and flaws of previous rulers and tend to encourage the flaws of the past by electing new members of Parliament using democratic ways.
