One important point that should have been part of this was the corruption of the third estate, once they got the power which in many cases was equal to or worse (I admit, that I was not there), than those they overthrew. Please read The “Tale of Tow Cities” which details that corruption if you haven’t already. It is a testament to the adage “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
