Eagles was probably the best possible place he could've landed and now more so with Smith also being added to a roster that already has fellow defense teammates and powerful vets like Graham and Cox. If he doesn't pan out here, he wont pan out anywhere else on the NFL.

your talking like this dude is a murderer - he got in his car & drove way to fast back to campus - 100% he should not have done that but he was Not racing & had Nothing to do w/ the other car - the girl driving the other car was Hammered & decided she was gonna beat him back to campus driving a Ga Univ vehicle despite multiple speeding violations - Carters didnt give the police any info but NO one from my community would EVER talk to the police under Any circumstances b/c we now how it works - they'll pin anything on anyone just to make it go away ...... Carter is a HOF talent & Phila as you properly mentioned is about as buttoned up an operation as there is in the NFL Phila's owner has retired Phila Detectives & retired FBI working their security so Believe me they interviewed Every human being Carter has Ever interacted with including all his coaches - if Anyone gave any indication he was a Jack Azz they would have Never drafted him

@@jackzeldon2883I was talking like this dude had character issues, not as a murderer. As I stated, him going to the Eagles was the best thing that could've happened to him in terms of potentially rehabing said character issues with not only having friends from his Georgia days on said roster, but a locker room full of talented and well mannered/disciplined vets. If he had gone to say Arizona or Texans, he would've basically been Ryan Leaf levels of mental headcase due to no leadership in the locker room or the care to help him rehabilitate.

As a Hawks fan I was hoping he'd fall to us somehow up until his penchant for Fast & Furious driving came out. Then, even worse, he showed up badly out of shape at his Pro Day - the most important workout of his life, and he was so gassed he couldn't finish it. My concern is he's one of those guys who is so naturally gifted he's never really had to work very hard to excel at his craft. And hard work isn't typically someone one learns - you either do it, or you don't. It's the job of a coaching staff to teach players how to excel in their system. It is not the job of coaches to motivate a player to try hard - that needs to come from within. I

@Lman34 Facts. If he didn’t love football or didn’t work he wouldn’t even have started on Georgia. Or even be a top 5 prospect. People live to contradict themselves. He made mistakes at 21 years old who doesn’t. It’s all about the environment he’s going to be around on his next team. Seattle has a great culture with leaders and a great players coach. And people talking shit about his snaps don’t know that he was battling and MCL injury the whole year and missed 2 games.

5 takeaways from this video: 1) Watch the film and repeat after me: “Jalen Carter is the best player in this draft.” 2) He should be the #1 overall pick. It just so happens that teams at the top have a need for QB. 3) His tape screams Aaron Donald, a complete game-wrecker whose presence alone will open up additional opportunities for his teammates. 4) The Seattle Seahawks (who have a dire need for interior D-Lineman) won’t let him slip past 5. Pete Carroll will take his shirt off and do backflips if Carter is there at 5. 5) Off-Field stuff: NFL vets will take him under their wing to make sure he stays out of trouble and maximize his talent.

Eagles will be a nightmare for yrs to come w/ their D Line depth...... Desai is much more aggressive than that mental midget Gannon - I have a strong feeling Suh will be back in Phila - they have so many Studs on that D Line it's not fair but Carter is the Jewel in the Crown - he reminds me so much of Jerome Brown (who I feel would've been the Greatest DT who ever lived) & Reggie Wht played a lot of DT & DE (his natural position) Philly got put Carter all over the D Line & he'll wreak havoc..... Davis is run stuffing monster, luv their 3rd pic from 2 yrs ago Milton Williams he is really strong on the interior as well & a sleeper for me is Phila's 2023 7th Rnd pick from Texas Obojo ( I think that's his name) - arrived at U of Tex at 16 y/o - kid is from a great family - Nigerian immigrants - played every technique on the D Line but he's naturally a DT & this kid is so smart & mature & still only 20 or 21 their NASCAR package will be like a Cheat Code - Reddit & Nolan Smith on the Edge - Sweat & Graham on the DE & they still have a productive Fletcher Cox...... can't wait to see Nakobi Dean & their interior Safeties attacking totally clean b/c opposing DL cant get to the 2nd level Philly remind me so much of the Redskins in the 1980's - they just deposit talent on in the trenches on both sides of the ball every year & that is how you win multiple SB's w/ Diff QB's - if Hurts stays healthy Phila are building a Murder Machine

Two things. First, he got busted doing 89 in a 45, and three months later was involved in a fatal street race where he pleaded no contest. That's not "a terrible decision", this indicates someone with a severe "need for speed" who lacks the discipline to resist the temptation that comes with owning a 700 horsepower SUV. Henry Ruggs and Malik McDowell are two extremely talented prospects whose careers were severely altered by idiocy while using a motor vehicle - can't play football from a prison or hospital bed. The other issue is worse from a football perspective. He was out of shape at the most important workout of his life, and could not complete his drills because he was gassed. This does not bode well for someone who is supposed to be a centerpiece, three-down player on an NFL defensive line over a 17 game season.

No excuses for him on what happened the day of that accident but he was sober, he didn’t cause the accident, he didn’t flee the scene, and he completely complied with the police. @@freeclimb5487 If one only looks at stats, one might think that. Except that 3 of Hutchinson's sacks against Washington were gimmes, like coverage sacks or blown assignments on the offensive line, instead of him actually winning. He hasn't even been the most effective edge on his own team, James Houston had 8 sacks in like 90 snaps. He also struggles against elite tackles, I'm a 49ers fan Bosa does as well, but they can dominate back ups and average starters, commentators said as much in the second green bay game. There's people in this comment section that could have made those interceptions. Hutch is good and will get better because of his work ethic, but he's extremely overrated at this point.

The off the field issues are definitely something to be concerned about. I understand it's going to be hard for you to be objective about this, but he has more red flags than a communist parade. He's been caught speeding excessively or racing 3 different times, he has terrible practice habits, and apparently clashes with teammates and coaches. Not to mention the sense of entitlement, like not interviewing teams outside the top 10, I don't think he makes it out of the top 10 either, he's the best player in the draft, but it doesn't mean a team won't trade up for him, he should be using this as an opportunity to interview as often and as well as possible, to salvage his reputation. Generally, none of these issues are made better when someone becomes a millionaire. I'm also pointing out the recent and similar issues with other prospects that have come out of Georgia as of late. DeAndre Baker, Isaiah Wilson, the dumb on field shit Quay Walker was doing last year. It's very real.

@@zackhurwitz9441 He was stopped for tinted windows. Caught speeding on an open road. And stoped got questioning about the incident and January. Stupid inexcusable mistakes that we all have made once in our life. What he does at 21 doesn’t define the rest of his life. People change if they are in a good environment. That wasn’t his doing that was his agents doing. I’m not going to believe reports about what happens behind closed doors with no cameras. I believe coaches and players words.

what I find to be funny is how people are talking about his behavior after losing two of his close friends as if humans don’t grieve. (Seahawks fan) I would rather have a street racer than a rapist or domestic abuser. Lord knows there's plenty of those in the NFL. Especially if the street racer is a dominant force on the defensive line. Pete Carroll isn't going to let the tragic street race stop him. In fact I would argue that Pete Carroll is the best possible coach this kid could choose if he wants to turn it around.

I would say 99% of us at some point were with their friends in two cars and a race ensued.
