Why dont you think that? JJ was in his prime and won DPOY by his second season, then won it again in his 4th and 5th. Most players other than QB's are in their prime during their rookie contracts or not long after their rookie contract ends. Id say TJ is probably having his best years right now

@@AlexRollinsNFL as a wr and pr in highschool when you said "film study is not just studying your opponent , it's studying to yourself" is spot on I used to constantly drop deep route catches but had no issues with catching the punt to return it which is very different, I noticed my eyes were on the end zone instead of the catch, I altered my thinking and worked at it in practice with the return team and then I was able to master it And I'm gonna be a homer since I'm a Steelers fan so of course I'm gonna say Tj Watt is better lol Good video Alex

As a DE in highschool 5:01 is so relatable, every time I would beat the OT off the edge I would get shoved to the ground by my side/back. Im a steeler fan an right now TJ is already B+ A- level with chance with his work ethic an room to grow to maybe be a HOF A+ player dont know if he can get to where JJ transcendent levels was because only a few human beings on EARTH have ever done that at that level 😂😂 but love where hes at an how much hes grown since we drafted him .. Thanks Oddysi. Since you're still young, I would try and master one single move. Whether it be your bull, club-rip anything, but work on it every single day. Practice the hand movements against air as much as possible, it'll pay off.

You could also look at offensive tackles as lacking some parts of technique. Why open your shoulders? You lack strength when you do so compared to keeping them square until you have to unhinge them. Opening right away just allows the defensive player to get around you easier by pushing your shoulders in. I understand the OL's size is an advantage, but when you are going against people now close to your size and speed, you cannot fully rely on that and must use technique to out-play the other side.

What DE could do what JJ can do? Reggie White, but that is no slight to JJ. JJ was/is a monster, a super freak. Yet, I believe that modern fans look at stats and analysis and forgets the team game and what you see as a team. How can a #1 defense with an 8-8 record? You can't, the defense is dominating the game.
