The original diagnosis of this 2004 Volkswagen Jetta was that it was leaking oil from the high-pressure fuel pump. On this particular set up, engine oil lubricates the high-pressure fuel pump internals. The seals inside the high-pressure fuel pump were old, causing it to leak oil.
I'd rate this job a 4 out of 10 (with 10 being the hardest). It's fairly easy to do.
You'll have to remove the coolant housing to access the high-pressure fuel pump, so make sure you replace the coolant that is lost during removal. Also, be sure to bleed the air out of the coolant system after you pour more coolant in. Otherwise, the vehicle will start to overheat.
And that's all there is to it folks. Thanks for watching this video, don't forget to hit that like button & subscribe for more auto repair content.
