I wanted my kids to experience some of the pleasures I experienced as a kid as well. Like you, my friend, my Dad was and is still a mechanic. He had many boats when we were younger, and from a young age, he taught me a skill that to this day saves me lots of money. That's being a mechanic. I took that same skill to the US Army and became very successful by the time I retired in 2018. I ran my own maintenance team of 13 soldiers and 14 Abrams Tanks. Like you, we were good at our job but always had a lot of work. You and Mrs. Doc are outstanding! Keep up the good work!

That Honda engine with broken timing chain is 99% chance it’s toast with bent valves. I would borescope to see if pistons have valve contact occurred too see the extent of the damage. I would replace the whole engine.

@AlexTheCarDoctor Hello. What I was attempting to say was that a child (or a dog) might run out onto the street at any time. A driver will be liable if he's going over the speed limit and hits a child if the child runs into the street. I noticed that you test vehicles by going well over the posted speed limit... and I see houses on both sides of the road. Maybe, when speed is a part of your road test, you could do that on roadways that have a higher posted speed limit? As an aside, I'm missing out on the fact that I live too far away for you to service my cars. Best regards to you and your family.
