This game in my opinion, has been the most fun I’ve ever had with a WWE game in YEARS. While I enjoyed 19, it didn’t hit the same level as 14 in terms of sheer enjoyment. And 22 definitely felt as fun as the classics for me, despite the issues. Let’s hope the next games after this one actually use the foundation left here and develop even more good games.

Agreed, Universe mode feels rather bland. Especially if you control a single superstar. And the booking is weird, if you use that funny menu to get a specific match, you got two matches in one show.

I’m saying if they could find a cool and good way to implement them then hell yeah, but realistically I can’t think of anyway you could. And with that I would rather just not have them at all. Me and my buddy are huge nerds and we run our Universe and make little antidotes about the shows in a google doc, and if we wanted a promo or some kind of story moment for a rivals we just write it ourselves and frankly that’s making better memories then if I had to read that cringe dialog from the promos in old games lol.

While there is definitely room for improvement. Specifically with weapons, tables and ladders. The MyRise mode for me is my go-to. I've made Glass Joe a Cruiserweight champion and had him dominate every roster he's been on. It shows a lot of work was put into that mode, but things like MyFaction and MyGM were tacked on and felt too much like those Fifa card collection games we've seen time and time again. I understand that's where the big profits come from, but I wish it was gone all together. I do like the new updates they've added though. Like the NXT 2.0 arena and the Banzai pack with 5 new characters. To me, while it's not the BEST WWE game. To me that's SvR 2011, it's a new direction with the series that doesn't completely reinvent the wheel; but more so tries to smooth it out.

It feels like the old PS2 games in a whole lot of ways. Sadly it's also got the same issues, like running attacks missing, hit detection with weapons can be terrible and springboard & toprope moves are a bloody gamble, while the AI has a heatseeking version of them... However, it IS a very fun game overall and I'm convinced it would be best if development sticks to a 2 year rhythm from now on. Just like so many other games would profit of.

The GM Mode recently added tag belts for men and women in a patch as well as more match booking slots on normal shows. While I don't expect the depth from 07-08 I'm confident that 2K wouldn't have added those things to MyGM if they weren't willing to listen to feedback for improvement.

i enjoyed GM mode a bit more when they added extra matches per show and tag team titles to worry about, but i agree its still a bit bare bones.assume if it stays for the next game it will be pretty cool Id actually be fine with them doing a game every two years if they kept up the improvements, to be honest

I'll give 2K the credit they deserve, because they do keep adding to the GM mode with various patches, most recently the tag titles. I'm hoping they give us the United States and Intercontinental titles. Hopefully add Royal Rumble too as a PPV since that is missing. So, i do hope 2K does keep listening to fan feedback as they've been really good with it and improving the game more to have a good replay value and be worth the money it is. I've personally enjoyed 22 a lot and its fast pace action since high flyers are exactly that, you do run out of stamina too i've noticed, even if you don't see the meter at the bottom, you do see the blue circle going red or empty. So, it is there.

I really like MyRise a lot, but there were two things that put me off about it: 1. There’s only one voice actor for men and one for women. If you wanted to play a black, white, Asian, or any other kind of superstar for men, you just need to break the immersion and accept the fact you’ll have the voice of a Hispanic man. I’m not saying to have a super detailed voice system, just have like other video games have and get like 3-5 voices to choose from. Yeah yeah yeah I get it you have to pay that many voice actors for all the lines in the game, but 2K has the budget. 2. And this one is way more major-being a champion feels meaningless in the game outside of the storylines in which you get them. You will be listed as champion under the “Champions” tab, but that’s about it. You don’t come to any matches with the belt, you don’t get announced as the champion anywhere. It’s like you never became champion. I remember beating Roman Reigns for the Universal title, then going and getting the storyline done for the IC title as well. I expected there to be some storyline or dialogue at the GM’s office about how I had to choose one title to vacate because I couldn’t hold two singles titles at the same time, but nope. Nothing. Even 2k19 had you take the Universal title everywhere with you after the main story. I don’t mean to go on about it, but in a mode that I genuinely have a lot of fun in and enjoy immersing myself in a lot, that part feels EXTRA bad to me.

This game has been a big improvement. Personally it's just little things I wish they'd implement. I don't like the control scheme for grappling the 2k19 system of just direction and X is way simpler and flows a bit better for matches. Certain moves can feel a bit stiff. For caw stuff bring back advanced entrance even if it's a smaller version like in 2k15, and bring back full body customization. If I want a 5'2 obese man the size of Nickacado yet weigh to be a cruiserweight let me have that. Not the pre defined bodies that may not work for every caw type. For My Rise I'd just add like an internal time tracker so you can see how much in game time has passed, giving you urgency do I want a main roster debut right off the bat or do I wanna spend a year in developmental doing the other objectives. Currently it just feels like a jumble of this happened and then this and this, peppering in little news bits from other shows to show a whole little world passing by.

With MyRise i think it lacks continuity and they just ignore connecting storylines. One day you are IC Champion, the next your competing for the Universal Title without being mentioned as IC Champ. One day your US Champion but then you receive a text where Tozawa pretends to be Vince to send you to a chosen location by him and attacks you for the 24 title you won way before

This is my first WWE game so take what I say with a grain of salt since I don't really know much about the past games. Honestly though? This is an absolute blast. The attention to detail is amazing and I've spent hours just trying to hear all the different dialog or manger/wrestler interactions in the game. The amount of Easter Eggs and goodies to be found is STAGGERING at that's just in exhibition mode. This honestly feels like the devs said "Here's the entire roaster, make your dreams come true kid." Are there issues? Oh yeah without a doubt, but they don't stop me from just having an absolute blast with the game. Also it lets me throw Vince off of hell in a cell as much as I damn well please and it's practically therapeutic. 10/10 for that alone.

My gm is too easy seriously you can pass it with low card superstars and have only 2 brands at on time no intercontinental title they had to patch in the tag titles svr 07 and 08 has a better gm mode although it was a harder it was realistic with mid card tag and world championships and pre shows in svr 2007 in svr 2008 3 brands at once.

I really personally enjoy the game a lot most fun I’ve had with a WWE game in awhile. Game is a good base for future games especially the potential I see with their version of GM mode I do prefer the SVR:2007s GM mode I can really get some enjoyment out of their version. The MyRise is nice I do have some nitpick complaints about it but there’s a lot of fun to be have their. I do enjoy the new gameplay it just feels right to me when I play it It’s only recently I’ve been having bug issues with CAWs not loading into entrances with issues when creating championships but other than that it’s been a blast Only issues I have is stuff with formation of tag teams just not working right with their entrances and in MyRise when I win a title I’m only acknowledged as champ and walk out with the title when I’m doing a title defense

Maybe it’s muscle memory, but I’m old enough to remember that the bumper buttons were what to use when reversing. Granted, it’s taken some time to get used to, but still. The game is simple enough for my kids to play (it’s so fun to watch them jump up and down and cheer while they play) and complicated enough for me to enjoy as well. It’s something that we have enjoyed playing together which we couldn’t do w/ 2k20 because the controls were overly complicated, especially the kick out and submission mini games. There are also enough save files to let them have their own. This game is 1,000,000x better than the last one.

Honestly gameplay wise i haven’t enjoyed one like this since 2k14, for me it’s the game modes that disappoint. The showcase is barely a showcase of rey’s great moments. The my rise feels repetitive and has no sense of time. GM mode is still far too restrictive but a good start. However this is genuinely a great step in the right direction

I agree with this. I'm curious what are so.e things to Gm mode that would make it better. I was saying earlier just playing against the computer, I have found myself spending almost 10 minutes on one week of gm mode just trying to perfect that week with what I had. While trying to make sure everyone was happy. Lol if we're adding several more things to it, how much time are we actually trying to spend multi tasking on so many different things at once in one week to make sure ur good weeks ahead of time? I think the player types such as bruiser fighter should be tweaked for more realism. Like a giant should still have a good match or even a great match with a bruiser. But curious to hear what additions would make Gm more fun, but sustainable with the rules set how they are now.

The only gripe with MyRise is quite simply the ending. Because there isn't one. I was hoping for some really big storyline that connects everything to the finale, like a completion reward for the game, y'know? I sorta love and hate the mode for this reason, but that's just me.

The only bad thing (for me) about 2K22 is something that isn't even the fault of WWE. It's about AEW signing many wrestlers so many of them will not be in the game. I remember many wrestlers missing because they wrestled for WCW so when WWE bought WCW and they started to include legends you had from 2002 almost all popular wrestlers included (for example SvR 2006 or 2K14 roster).

after playing the game for well over a month now i can proudly say that i have had the most fun playing a wwe game since 2k14. the gameplay isn’t broken or slow and the graphics are a massive improvement from 2k20. the only complaints i have for this game is that the game feels a bit watered down at times, like im glad gm mode is back and after the 1.09 patch where they added tag titles ive found myself enjoying the mode a bit more but it still is lackluster if you were to pair it to svr. another small complaint i have is that the roster feels underwhelming with limited legends and alt attires. also out of curiosity who tf plays myfaction

I really do like this game but my biggest gripe is the fact that until recently, there was no entrances for the online mode and even now, it’s still bugged and crashes for now. You also can’t use custom arenas online and CAWs don’t have the textures on them if it’s custom so they look different on other peoples screens. Small things tbh but overall this game is a refreshing difference and I with they just add the features moving on.

WWE2K22 is an amazing game. I don't understand some of the comments I'm seeing about wanting the arcade style back. That worked back in the day, but I don't want to throw my opponent off a roof only to see him get up a few seconds later. I prefer the realistic, simulation style the wrestling games are getting now. You know, what we actually see on tv. In my opinion the best games 2K has made were WWE2K14, WWE2K18, WWE2K19 and now WWE2K22. WWE2K22 topping the previous games mentioned by a very large margin. It's been years since I've had so much fun with a wrestling game. Hell, I fell out of love with WWE, wrestling in general, years ago. I didn't watch the product but I would occasionally play the games. 2K22 got me looking into a lot of the newer wrestlers in game. It revived my interest in wrestling. That's crazy.

@@shweeniemccocko2177 I have, and online sucks because it doesn't matter if you are skilled or good, all you gotta do is stun the opponent by either hitting your signature or finisher, and you are able to stun them for 15 seconds, which with the fast pace of the game, makes it easy to hit your opponent with 1 signature, and 3 finishers in a row and there won't be a goddamn thing the opponent can do about unless they got resiliency, but guess what? Even if you have resiliency, all the opponent has to do is pin you immediately after, and you'll still lose regardless. 2K19 and even 2K20 online required a certain level of skill in order to both fairly kickout, reverse, and even limit reversals were more fair than stunning cause you CHOSE when to use them, stunning can happen at any time in a match, and all your opponent has to do after you kicked their ass for 5 minutes is reverse, hit you with 2-4 normal moves and or strikes, and hit their finisher twice in a row. No skill, and it's all because they thought stunning and the braindead button mashing pin system equals more "fun".

Only really had a few problems with 2k22 like that they stripped some pretty fun features for basically no reason. Like you can't jump from the top of the ladder to the outside of the ring anymore, no leaning ladders on the ropes and running out of the ring, and so on. Universe mode was also broken as fuck when I played it, you would often be put into mirror matches with your own superstar or have to fight in matches that you aren't even apart of. Also felt the create an entrance feature lacked a lot, like you have HHH and HBK but no option for the DX theme (But there is the option for the DX walkout) so if you try to create the tag team it just looks weird, same for Evolution.
