As a die hard fan of the original 2, Max Payne 3 was... fine. Don't get me wrong, the gunplay mechanics were amazing. But the story and setting. It was .... ok, but it felt off. It never felt like a Max Payne game, which is why the game flopped I think. Since Remedy didn't have time to write and develop this one, they should have just canned it, and perhaps deliver a better sequel in the future. This game and how.. unexciting it was as a Max Payne game essentially killed any chance of a sequel in the future. Max Payne 1-2 was a deeply written, dark story with emotional undertones. Max Payne 3 was just a generic Hollywood shooter.

Damn, i must be the only one who liked MP3. I liked everything about the game. Graphics, story and it was long and engaging

May Payne 3 is one of my favorite games of all time. Its so disappointing that it sold poorly because it really is a fantastic game both in game play and story telling. Glad to see that at least some people recognize its greatness.

Im one of many whose first Max Payne game was the last. I knew nothing about the character, story, or world. All I knew is that the shooting was fun and it was Rockstar. Just replayed it for the first time since it came out and goddamn this game bas aged like a fine wine, still running circles around modern games in pacing, detail, story, gameplay, tone, and raw atmosphere.

Always been a Max Payne fan but Rockstar really shot themselves in the foot by dropping the GTA5 trailer right before this game released. The comment section for every Max Payne 3 trailer back in the day was full of annoying people spamming "we dont care give us another GTA5 trailer". Honestly as amazing as 1 and 2 are I think 3 will always be my favorite because of the gameplay and score and the sense of peace it leaves a tortured character like Max within the finale

I played hundreds of hours of multiplayer and beat the campaign on every difficulty. I don't remember anything wrong with this masterpiece. (couple of rough multiplayer updates maybe)

Max Payne 3 was a masterpiece, Rockckstar didn't fucked it up. It had a depressing story, great shooting action and most importantly dark sarcastic humour and brilliant writing with amazing one liners. And the airport ending, with that music, it was amazing.

I loved this game.

I have been out of news for this game. When I played the game, I was like this is peak, this game is awesome. It's surprising to me that this game didn't do well in sales.

I wish you also mentioned that game takes around 10 hours to finish and only 2-3 hours of it is actual gameplay, rest is random forced cutscenes. They make you sit and do nothing for 5 minutes straight, give control back for random bullet time action, take control back and make you just stare at the screen for a mediocre plot xd even though the gunplay is fun, overall it was the most boring max payne for me sadly.

In conclusion due to the success and funny ha ha moments in guardians of the galaxy marvel is trying to repeat the formula but it doesn’t end well due to other parts of the Marvel universe having more deep tones than guardians of the Galaxy which then makes kid friendly funny ha ha moment every five seconds
