I just found this channel and was excited because he talks about a lot of games I love. But....what you said must be a generational thing I'm guessing. Because I keep seeing people say the editing is hilarious, and to me, it is incredibly annoying and detracts from the video. This is the 3rd video I've watched on the channel, and each one is harder to watch than the one before it. I rarely say anything negative, but I REALLY WANT to like this channel based on the topics he covers. I just can't. The editing is not just annoying, it genuinely makes the videos nearly unwatchable. I guess it's a gen Z thing because younger people seem to like this weird, random "everything's a meme" stuff, but it's really way too much for me (and most people my age I imagine).

The first wrestling game I vividly remember owning was the PS1 War Zone. I remember doing moves was difficult af and you would do the same kick over and over again. A normal vertical suplex was a big move but I loved the game.

I remember being a kid a never knowing about any wrestling game. A good friend came over to my house and brought this game and needless to say but i loved it. Then continually playing each one after. I was so sad to see the decline in the series but as a whole i like it better than 2k. I wish 2k would bring back season mode with the branching story line. Such a great time when im playing solo.

I still remember getting it Christmas 2004 at Best Buy still in its plastic cover. The graphics and animation were a big improvement and finally had voice acting, but a huge dip in wrestlers match types and also story mode was a little bland. Honestly it was the beginning of wrestling being a bit cringe. Still had lots of fun.

You should review SvR 2006 at some point. The gameplay and season mode are better than this game. Also, 2006 introduced me to The Dillinger Escape Plan, which is priceless.

I've been a huge wrestling fan since I watched the attitude era. HCTP is the best wrestling game ever made. Better than WWF no mercy and wrestlemania 2000. I enjoyed the original SVR. The character models looked great, gameplay was awesome, and I absolutely enjoyed the in-match music playing (don't know why they got rid of it in later entries. It totally sucked they got rid of that). What really sucked in SVR is the roster. Lots of wrestlers from HCTP were gone. And SVR08 was the last wrestling game I ever bought.

Smackdown vs RAW wasn't the end of the "Smackdown!" series, it was simply a renaming of the series. It would be renamed again for WWE 12/WWE 13, and then renamed again starting with 2K14. All the same series. The engine evolutions don't even correlate with the naming scheme, that's just branding (SVR 06 and SVR 08 are more different than each other than SVR 2010 and WWE 12 are for example). All in all, for my opinion on SvR; I wasn't crazy over it. Gameplay wise they didn't add too much and they messed up Hardcore/FCA matches by not allowing the free roaming. The roster is a tad bit weak (although that's on the WWE and not Yukes). The CAWs looked terrible compared to Day of Reckoning from the same time frame. In general I think DOR was the better game and I put more hours into that. Smackdown vs RAW is MILES better than that horrible abomination that is WrestleMania 21 on Xbox though, which was the 3rd and last game released in that time frame.
