The funny part is, when Dorothy said that dealing with the woman who wanted to fight being like the public school system is so accurate. Dorothy being a substitute teacher for what we can assume is high school, she probably has seen it all like when she talks about it in the season 1 pilot episode. The best part of these reactions for me so far is the big smile you have on your face. It brings me so much joy when other people are touched by things I love and have a positive experience ❤

During the part where Dorothy, Blanche and Rose end up in jail as mistaken prostitutes in the cell that they shared with the other prostitutes the one lady who had a purple pinkish long sleeve jacket on was actually Rue McClanahan's (Blanche on the show) niece. Her name is Amelia Kincade. I just thought it was neat that Rue got to work with her niece in this episode. This was the only episode her niece appeared in.

I loved this show as a teenager but my father HATED it with a passion. I remember watching this episode and he walked in midway and asked why they were in jail and I said "well they were mistaken for prostitutes" and all he said was "that doesn't at all surprise me" LOL

Why didn't the Girls just show their Burt Reynolds tickets to the police when they raided the hotel lobby? That would have proven their point that they were going to see Burt, and that they weren't prostitutes looking for clients.

The zingers in this episode are absolutely on fire. I've used Blanche's non-sequitur so many times (it was edited out of this video but I have this episode memorized by heart), "I've always wanted to be Miss Olivia de Havilland myself..." because it's just so disorienting and whatever conversation was happening is immediately over.
