Thanks for posting! What a terrific car. I've owned a 164S, but not the coveted Q4 as they were not officially imported to the US; however, a few have made it across. In my view your seating position is way too high. Try dropping it to the floor (lowest setting). You will feel more balanced and will have a far better relationship with the controls, as well as dramatically improve the car's overall feel and handling. Cheers!

@@Yetiz28 i had one new for 4 y and 139th km, in Switzerland, drove it in the alps, at the sea, in the snow, in Germany, Framce, italy, Spain. Loved it, but you need to double clutch and adapt revs to apreciate the gertrag 6speed. Had many Alfas: 6c 1938 for 30y, 3 Alfasuds, Alfa 6, 164 3.0 250th km, 147, but also MkII Jag, Ferrari, Jeeps, Lancia Delta Integrale and HPE. Know from what I am talking of. Enjoy your car.

@@arnoherrmann2495 First of all even thought some in the US call it double clutching, the really proper term is double de-clutching. Second of all this is a modern gearbox with synchros so it doesn't need double de-clutching. Old non-synchro'd boxes were helped by double de-clutching as de-clutching in neutral makes the next gear's revolutions match the engine revolutions (and spins up the clutch too). But in modern gearboxes like the Alfa's Getrag(?) the synchromesh gears take care of matching gear speeds for you. Heel-and-toeing on the other hand is recommended and is a skill worth learning. It spares the gearbox and clutch somewhat during downshifts as the engine revs are better matched to the gear speed.
