Alfa Romeo 6 Year Restoration

This former rust bucket Alfa Romeo sports car was restored to perfection. It's a 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale that Dennis found at the French and Italian car show in Van Nuys, CA.

Somewhere...I have an old magazine with a red one on the cover. Maybe road and track, sports car illustrated, not sure. This may be the first time I have seen one "live". Such a cool looking car.

SWEEEET! Love Alfa Romeo. Up until the owner mentioned the designer, I was thinking Ghia. This Alfa looks like a cross between a Porsche 911T and a Karmen Ghia to me. Thanks for keeping the car meet love going, Dennis! I never miss your episodes. Iconic. Cheers.

My girlfriend had one of these she used to let me drive around before I had a license in 9th grade when she was only 14. We both worked weekend shoots at the shotgun club and she'd give me a ride to work on the weekends while she did the scorekeeping and pressed the button to launch the traps but I was in the concrete bunker setting the clay pigeons on the old german throwing machine that would break ur arms off if you got in the wrong spot. She used to literally catch air jumping this car off a certain intersection in town with a steep hill beyond the stop sign but one time I was driving and this cop pulled up so we tossed a half drank 2 liter of wine cooler from the previous night under this shed but there was chicken wire around the bottom so it rolled out into the parking lot in front of the cop and he got all crazy checking my eyes and stuff and accusing me of drinking but I had none so he let us go to go meet my bass player and his girlfriend Brandy in the tent in the backyard next door where we got it on while high fiving each other right next to our chicks in the backyard, haha... anyway, turns out her car was a brown Datsun B-210 but still just as much FUN as this guys little red whatever... next I'll tell you about Heather and her sweet white YUGO!!

For the air-cooled Wha engines did they make higher then 1600 or 1800 cc's, back in the day? What acessories were available for added horsepower?

You could get a 383 Stroker Chevy motor to add some power accessories... not sure what centimeters that is?
