Man, once this thing got up into the higher gears it just kept passing cars. Must've been a riot racing one of these back in the 30's

that's why they were dominant back in the day. Imagine how much faster it would be if the driver is using the Alfa Romeo that raced at Le Mans in 1938, a one-off,2.9 litre, twin-supercharged, 150mph coupe!? Sadly it is in the Afla Romeo museum so it is less likely that they would enter it in any racing.

OMG. It sounds like an Opera!!!!!! You just don’t get that visceral feeling from anything past the 1960s. The way it ended, I feel cheap, lost and stood up. Ohhh.

80 anni e non sentirli...! E... mica male: quando la pista è sgombra e riesce a spingerla (ma nemmeno tanto) sui rettifili, da come fugge via la strada, a occhio sembra andare sui 160...! Bella progressione davvero, in terza. E aveva la quarta bella lunga, rispetto alla terza... con quel motore se lo poteva permettere; infatti, arriva sotto a tutti gli altri, sui rettifili; e l'unica che ci mette un po' a raggiungere e sorpassare... a 4:29 si scopre che è un'altra Alfa 8c...!

These were the cars Alfa's reputation is based on . Pure quality in build and materials , SO mutch better than the plastic junk of the 80s on to today . Simply GORGIOUS !
