For a diesel engine, the JTDm has pretty good in-car sound. I have 147 1.9JTDm 8V 120hp and for its power is decently fun!

@@mehdoux this engine can easily support more than 210hp and 380Nm in total reliability, the transmission is usually replaced near 300hp. But there's many 1.9JTD with over 400hp for drag racing with extreme mods. Some say the 8 valve version of this engine is more robust than the 16v.

I've got two of these. Both tuned to 180+ HP. First were 2004 euro 3, second were 2009 euro 4. Older was a bit faster. According to speedometer in a car , fastest driving vere 230 kmh . 218 according to GPS. Very good car, speeding uphills were real candy !

@@lipcsaiify well, you've probably heard those things from some German car fanboys, 1.9 jtdm is an absolutely excellent car and I've owned only german cars before it. Its been 4 years since I've been with this Alfa and I will never look at anything german again. Great handling, quick steering, economical and quick and cheap to repair compared to German rivals from the samo year. I took a 3000km road trip with 3 friends ans a bunch of luggage and it averaged 5.2 l/100km. For these 4 years I've only had to chage oil and filters and belts, that's it

Alfa should have installed the 1.9 twinturbo from the Delta in its cars. With a remap it's easy to hit 230hp. I know it, I did it on my Delta 😁, and now it's a perfect sleeper

I have same car, maybe with basic ECU. But it was very supprised when I acclarated with full throttle especailly in 3th, 4th gear. I absolutly satisfied with my car. I did not think diesel engine car live like 1.9 jtd, and big advantage when you are sit in driving seats sounds pretty cool. Sporty diesel at all. :D What do you think about suspension? As i saw you used the car on dirty roads, I love GT suspension and driving skills but armbushes dont have a longlife I think.

I have the same car in the UK. Remapped to 210bhp with Celtic Tuning and a DriveTorque stage 3 clutch kit. The remap ate through the standard clutch in a couple of months. Awesome acceleration now but the paddle clutch is not so driver friendly when in slow moving traffic

@@mikerupp6034 I think you can probably get away with a stage 1 or 2. The stage 3 clutch just made the car a bit of a chore to drive. Also, after about 10 months, 3rd gear selection became a bit of a crunch. Choices are 1. Normal clutch with annual replacement 2. Stage 1 or 2 clutch (untested) 3. Stage 3 clutch (unpleasant drive) 4. Remove/reduce remap

I have the GT with the 2.0 JTS as I prefer gasoline for the sound. But this diesel didn't sound like a tractor, it sounded pretty decent. I still however find it wierd that the 3.2 Busso V6 and the 1.9 JTD got 6 gears and not the 2.0 JTS.

ate chega a ser ridiculo, um carro destes que custava em portugal na sua epoca de lançamento em sua versao de 150cv jtdm quase 40,000 euros e hoje se dizz com,prar por 1900 euros ,..?!! porem tbm no creio que seja em todo o lado, aqui em portugal um carro destes em bom estado ainda pode custar mais de 5000 euros , e se tiver mesmo bom,.. vale todos os euros ,.. sem duvida ,..eu tenho uma 156 jtd sw ha uns 5 ou 6 anos , na altura paguei 4500 euros e ate foi bom negocio ,. e ainda rola e bem, e ja conta com 380 ,000 kms aprox.,.. e um carro que transmite bom feeling , oferece certo prazer de conduçao,.. que outros nao o teem,..alem de ser seguro e obedece bem as reaçoes ,.

la 3.2 in confronto la 1.9 ti pare che cambia molto? la 3.2 oltre il rumore che fa raggiunge i 240 kmh con 240 cv ,la 150cv diesel 220 li fa e li supera pure quindi tutta sta cosa del 3.2 non ha tanto senso anche perchè la 1.9 150 cv ha 305nm di coppia,quindi modificandola aumenta molto di più della 3.2 v6 che già si levano pochissimo, farà schifo il rumore che fa ma modificandola la differenza si sente e poi farà anche cacare per i suoi 150 cv peró le curve le fa pure oltre i 190 kmh senza problemi, questo motore oltre la 147 e la 156 non esistono più e ai tempi erano capolavori, stessa cosa perchè hanno la trazione anteriore che dovrebbe fare sottosterzare la macchina e chiantarsi a muro,invece sovrasterzano cosa che non dovrebbero fare con la trazione anteriore e c'è anche la q2 ancora meglio in curva, la 147, 156 e gt sono macchine parecchio sottovalutate purtroppo e anche per questo si trovano a meno di 2000 euro solo che chi non ha una di queste 3 non sa che significa anche se è vero che 150 cv sono pochi
