Awesome, I've had the same tune at Squadra done physically by them since i live somewhat near them. OEM plus is a great way of putting it. A-mode is apparently factory by the way, Squadra claims that stock 2.0t RWD does not have 200hp standard, but somewhere between 220-230hp. Talked a little bit about that with them.

I just got this on my 200hp giulia, should be up around ~290hp and it amazing. And iv noticed the tune thrives on the higher quality fuels [shell v power for me]

I really love that interior btw. Are you sure a dealership can wipe the tune? I specifically asked Stephan from Squadra about this repeatedly and he assured me it's not possible for this to happen.

It’s very unlikely to happen but if they for some reason rewrite the ECU to update software it’s possible yes, but again unlikely.

@@alfamods2.0T ah thank you for clarifying, slightly worried about this but I guess it's a small chance like you said. As for the rest of your video, spot on. To me it feels like how the car should feel, Squadra unlocks it's full potential and their way of thinking is very much in tune (pun intended) with the character of the car. It just expands upon it greatly. Also in my case, the car has become slightly more economical as well, and I'm still driving it hard whenever I can.

Tune or not, the sensations you describe - the surprised pleasure at the acceleration and performance - are there to be enjoyed from the standard untouched car as well. Unless you're on a track with a long straightaway bit, or on the Autobahn, very few people will ever reach the limit of the Giulia's potential. I'm amazed everytime I drive it. That said, I would like to know how to remove the top speed limiter. It can do a lot more than 240 km/h.

Thanks for the comment! Helps me out a lot. In terms of power the max power pro I had was the latest version with the cam sensor power wise it was roughly equal in the lower RPMs but in the upper there is less pull than squadra. it’s great for a plug and go piggy back tune, just get the model without the cam sensor it makes things wayyy easier to instal and remove

You can send your ECU in to Alfissmo and they can bench flash it. This will not show a counter because it was flashed outside the cars canbus system. I believe he does next day shipping so down time is almost nothing to ship yours there and back

What if you have the race selector switch installed on the Giulia? Would the tune still work in race mode as it does in D mode?

There's a bigger turbo tune out there that gets up to 400 HP on the Alfa 2.0. Any thoughts on how reliable those cars are. More expensive yes, but wondering how reliable they are.

Well Right now I know of a few companies offering the 400hp Eurocompulsion that did a engine tear down to check for reliability after beating on the car, and ideal. Alfissimo has one in the works tuned eithe squadra I personally prefer reliability over highest possible power so if I was going to do any of them I’d do the squadra 370hp turbo and tune.

I’ll be honest I’ve had the tune for about a week and a half now and I don’t notice a difference in power. In fact my 0-60 seems a little slower then it was before the tune. My wife says she doesn’t feel the “tickle” in her stomach anymore from a boosted launch. It’s been this way since I put the ecu back in. The only difference I notice besides what seems to be LESS power is that it revs higher in manual. I feel like I wasted my money. Bummer.

The power should be in dynamic only in N it’s stock or A it’s slightly over stock. Do you have race mode installed by any chance? Because this messes it up unless your specifically tuned for it. I’m just trying to figure out what happened because for me and many others I’ve personally talked with it’s a noticeable kick in the pants over stock in Dynamic mode. I would assume it’s slightly slower to 60. Probably faster in the upper end. Unless you solve traction then maybe It could be faster. If I had to guess probably sub 5 seconds.

No they don’t offer that there reasoning is it doesn’t add to the performance and it’s bad for the cats. Eurocompulsion offers it but from what other big alfa KZbinrs have said this is night and day from Eurocompulsion’s pops and bangs tune. It’s a cool novelty

My latest video is literally windshield replacement. I’m sorry but I’m not interested in making things perfect when filming. At the time it was dirty changes nothing about the tune or the knowledge gained from this video about the tune. I don’t sell the tune so also don’t mind if someone buys it or not. This channel is about information most of my videos are here because people need help when their alfas don’t work. I help people troubleshoot before they need a dealer. So my dirty car isn’t the point.

I’m out of factory warranty, I do have mopar maxcare. They have done the O rings on the turbo under warranty when I had the tune no issues. Depends on if your dealership is reasonable or not. Like if my tune causes the failure then yeah it’s my problem but for everything else you should still be covered. Example radiator. They really don’t check unless it’s an engine replacement but for everything else you should be good.

@@Jeff-gc2sb if you get the tune done by sending in your ECU to Alfissmo there is zero trace of the tune it does not trigger the counter that uploading via the obd2 port does. It’s uploaded directly to the ECU bypassing the counter system.

It probably would if it’s a hard tune, BMS or madness proven power and if you have a brand new car, like I bought a Stelvio esterma for my mom and I drive it sometimes if you want to spend 4-600 bucks get 55whp/60wtq can be removed and place back in under 30 minutes box tune .. back in 2010 I had one of 5 Weistec supercharged c63 , I haven’t been in the scene for a while but it’s fun watching you guys mod these cars 😊 I had hard tunes on all my cars before and warranty peace out, not worth it lol.. learned my lesson when I grew up
