You can lower the seats in the gtv, there's a bump stop underneath, brings the seats down 26mm which is significant.

The GTV V6 Does have passive rear wheel steering. Thats why it feels like it has passive rear wheel steering. Also you will defintely need a Q2 Diff on it if you havent got one already. Its absolutely mandatory for performance and handling.

The camber at the rear looks about right to me. They're all like that. And yep, they have a touch of passive rear wheel steering.

That GTV rear camber is stock and it does have passive rear steering.

I still like my 2.0 Tspark better than the v6. Much more agile. You really feel the lower weight on the front axle when cornering!

That I notice in many cars even Mercedes E class from 2000 something, the v6 feels too heavy, not fun, good for highways but small curvy roads better with smaller engine

It seems it's not gonna happen because of the darn SUV Stelvio version. They should make the Giulietta (tail-less hatcback) in 2019. I fear that one is going to be FWD and not RWD tho.

Wait till the modern turbocharged direct injected euro6 fuel efficient engine hits 40k miles and we will be talking horrendous oil consumption, tons of carbon buildup and soon engine rebuild. And honestly the sound is bland and crapy. The Busso v6 is a peach, reliable and strong and the sound is epic. With regular maintenence it will perform perfectly over 300k miles. Of course it is old now but I wouldn't trade it for any modern plastic euro7 twin turbo super efficient crap of today.

You can still buy an 80's Alfetta GTV6 at reasonable prices. Busso V6 magic in a classic and appreciating RWD Alfa shell.

It does have passive rear steer but that camber at the rear is excessive, whoever has set it up went a bit OTT.

Nice one guys. I absolutely adore the looks of the '90s GTV although much better in the metallic blue or green than that dull red colour you have. To me is was as show-stopping at the time as the original TT

I think the VR6 Corrado is a better comparison for this car. Maybe a TT is more comparable to the Alfa GT V6 coupe or the Brera. I owned a VR6 Corrado for 9 years. Such a great car. I would loved to own both of these

I like the gtv V6, but not as much as my favorite Alfa, the gtv6 2.5, the reason? The gtv6 2.5 is rwd. But now I have a family, for that reason I prefer the Giulia because I have the room and comfort features for my wife and kids. Carfection, great video!

I guess you failed to disconnect the battery when removing the seats then, or didn't do the connectors back up properly! Not the car's fault :). 10 minutes of toe out corrects the steering feeling hugely. I am not sure why but Alfa always seems to get the standard alignment wrong as I think the Brera, 4c and 8c suffered with poor setup as well.

I like so much your's alfa that I started looking for a 1.8ts or maybe a 2.0t.s. Unfortunately no chance tax-wise and budget-wise for a 3.0 V6 in Greece. (taxes are based on the displacement of the car not on the price, so it doesn't matter if you buy a car for €100,- if it is 2.000cc + you will be taxed like you were earning €100,000 or so)

The Giulia is a good looking car, no doubt. But that GTV just looks so good out on the road - so much flair. And so unique! Has there ever been a car that looks even remotely like the GTV? While the Giulia is a more handsome 3 series. And the V6..... oh yes. Fitted with a Q2 and it will still keep up with most things on the road today. Not sure about that colour though. Their faces when he opens it up at the end is what it is all about. I wouldn't fancy the GTV as my daily driver but this looks like a pretty dreamy, realistic 2 car garage.

I'd love to have both these cars in my garage. GTV with Busso engine is a modern classic I'd go for. Giulia is lovely but my heart is torn between it and a facelifed Jag XE.

The 2003/4 GTV, with the updated Alfa Shield grille and new bumpers with offset license plate on the front, in Gun Metal Grey with the 'Vatican Red' leather interior and the 3.2L V6 is different class to the GTV featured in this video.

GTV is very nice, but Giulia is nicer. :P This is a case where modern beats old in pretty much every way. If only the Giulia was available with a naturally aspirated V6 with about 300hp and a manual...perfect car.

The Giulia is nice but I'd rather take the GTV and the difference in money. I'd wager the new car's engine won't have anywhere as much charisma. Be warned, they're not cheap cars to maintain and are likely increasing in price now as the bad ones die off from lack of love.

Can we compare a rear wheel drive with a front wheel drive ?... The only thing go with the old Alfa, is the fact that she have a REAL Alfa engine. Built by Alfa Roméo Italian engineer, not a Ferrari engine with a Alfa badge.

TABRAO yes, but he make a specific engine for an Alfa, not an engine can be use both Alfa Roméo and Ferrari. ( I speak about the engine in the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio). Look at the engine with was use in the giulietta in 60s : 4 cylinder twin cam. The base was soo well imagine, that it was the same base engine in 70s 80s and early 90s.

No, James is not a true "Alfisti". James is exactly the kind of plonker most "Alfisti" dread sitting next to at dinner. I've got an '81 2.0L Alfetta GTV (what James would call a "true" Alfa) and a '99 Busso V6 156 (a "false" Alfa, ) and I love them both equally. Next stop for me is 3.0L 75 Potenziata if I can find one, and in a few years (post Alfa depreciation) I hope to bag a Giulia Veloce to replace the 156. The fact that James has closed himself off to everything post Fiat is his loss, but leaves more for the rest of us. And I note that younger Alfa enthusiasts these days tend to understandably favour the later cars (147 GTA anyone?). Please don't think of fossilised remnants like James as typical of the broader Alfa community.

I was commenting mainly about the design of recent Alfas, which I believe to be much less refined than before, even during the Fiat rebading era. I'm not an alfa owner anymore and got rid of the virus because of lack of proper places to have them maintained in the area. And I wouldn't buy a new alfa simply because their design language has completely changed (and not in a way I like)

Modern Alfa. Because semi-old Alfas allways did two things wrong. They had front wheel drive and they were unreliable.
