... it has an air-raid warning horn installed where a supercharger would normally go. I thought Hamas was gonna start launching rockets during the dyno pull.
@randyallen2771
Love those Duetto Spyders, especially the old boat tails.
@Palaemon44
I love Greg’s videos and the minute, deep-dive, technical details. It’s just a shame he can’t put the car into a pressure chamber and produce grainy charts of manifold pressure, horsepower, at different altitudes, with and without water injection, as if it was a P-51.😊
@nickhimaras9331
Rats Greg! You made me feel nostalgic...
@alfavulcan4518
Never associated your aircraft videos and Alfa Romeo. Your L -Jet tune up tutorial helped my GTV6 immensely in the past and used your hoses on my buddies GTV6 3.0 build
@zedoktor979
Sit in front of the camera more often! You look very comfortable doing so! Seeing your reactions in the airplane vids would be interesting.
@Deipnosophist_the_Gastronomer
I like these videos. I find, much needed, validation for the 'work' I was doing back in the 'noughtys'. 😁
@larryweitzman5163
Greg, Hey I just watched your Beaufighter, Underrated episode and learned you grew up near Venice Beach where Revell was located. My model building started with wood models, where I remember building a Lockheed F-94C. Anyway, I grew up just south of Venice in Westchester/Playa Del Rey and graduated from Westchester High. I remember back in about 1970, I came within an inch of buying still one of my favorite cars and designed by Giugiaro, a 1969 Alfa 1750 GT. If you remember it, the early models had a winged seat and a unusable rear seat which made it a much cheaper to insure "sedan."
@rickriede2166
178 whp is plenty for a forty year old platform where any kind of spirited driving may be involved.Plenty for me anyhow.
@meikasroom851
Greeting Greg,
@sachinh1635
Well done! That is certainly a terrifying amount of grunt in a classic spider 😁. The one thing I'm interested in now though is how the handling balance could be restored with this significant increase in torque?
@decnet100
Phew, I bet that thing is fun as can be. Couple weeks back, there was a rollcaged, tastefully restomodded Giulia Junior 1300 parked in the neighbourhood, car was done just right in my opinion, and you could see it was getting used, and not just as a tracktool. One of the few times in my recent life that I felt "car jealousy" and walked around it two times before going to work... now something like that with a supercharger - give me three days of good weather and it'll see at least a dozen alpine passes.
@vanteal
That is a beautiful smooth power curve.
@drewski5730
It’s a nice flat curve. I’d like to see what it would do with a port, polish, springs, cc’d chamber, valves, cams, and headers. I know you’d get into the vicinity of diminishing returns, but I bet there’s another 30+ hp left on the table there. It’s a cool car. If you ever make any 2JZ parts let us know, I’ve got an old SC I piss my money away on regularly. 😂
@SimplyTakuma
Very nice torque and hp curve. Thats very nice and good with the supercharger and the benefit of the supercharger
@Xsiondu
Awesome work
@rbh1236
Great video!
@jeremydorfschmidt1088
came here for the airplane videos, and here I am having some insperation for a future project car, I love this, hope to hear more about it!
