I just had a set of Morimotos installed to replace the factory fogs, then I also had a set of 6" Cree Slimeline light bars added to each side of my license plate. I have a 2018 Ram 1500, and I just noticed yesterday that all four fog lights cut out when I put my high beams on. I guess I'll have to go and buy one of these OBDLink gadgets. Thanks for the video.

I have a 2016 RAM Laramie and I want to replace the fog lights with LED's equal to factory 9006 bulbs, I also want to program with alfaobd so as to have the Fog lights to be on with my DRL's, have you had any experience with what I want to do? Goodmorning Do you know how to fix open circuit fault code ... had halogen and switched headlights and tail lights to LED and now get open circuit fault codes and then truck turns off lights until clearing code but that only lasts a day or 2 b4 have to clear again

I am new to Alfa obd, I have a 2013 ram 1500 sport and I am going to be replacing my ref hub. I bought a used ref hub and I got my pin using alfa. My truck has the push start and keyless touch and go. I’m assuming that I replace the rf hub after I’m connected to alfa but before I press button on phone to replace or reprogram my rf hub? Not sure about the order of operations?

Can someone help me out to enable settings on my evic I have 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually 6.7 diesel. Recently I was able to turn on my trailer brake control on. Now it shows on my evic, but the only one that won’t appear is the settings. Here is what I have on my evic : Speedometer Messages Set up Trip a and b Info Tow But I’m missing settings I did it with the alfaobd , all I want to know under what category I can turn on setting so it will show on my evic. Thanks for this vid. I just did the and it worked, somewhat. I have HID low beam bulbs and when I turn on my high beams my HID bulbs flicker. You wouldn't know a fix for this would you?

DRL does but this is disable drop out. So there is no button for this. If you want to engage or disengage it, you will have to do it with alfaobd. Thanks for your support brother!

That’s the issue I’m having now. I put tow mirrors on my ‘12 1500 and I found the setting for the puddle lights and it says none but when I hit next and start it doesn’t do anything, doesn’t give me any message about saved or changed. When I hit unlock now they come on but they are very very dim. Was still trying to look for the turn signal part. The Bluetooth I’m using is the elf 327.

Changed stock projectors low beam bulb to leds on 2015 ram 1500 but they will not stay on and flicker on and off. Enabled yes lowbeam lights on the obd. Still do not stay on for long. Any suggestions?

No sir, nothing weird will happen. I have LED low beams and halogen high beams and LED fog lights. As long as you have alfaOBD set correctly for each set of lights, it will be fine.

i have a 2014 ram 1500 sport with factory projector headlights, i put HID's on low beam, high beam, fog, LED's on my license plate and third brake light. I've also installed the Diode dynamic's halo's and switchback's. I have the OBD Link MX+ withe alfa obd app on my android phone. I had a bulb out message for all of those, except for the hi beam ???, i was able to clear out the license plate message, but the low beam and brake light messages won't go away, even if i clear all the error code, they always come back ??? any suggestions. Hey Benoit, if you set high intensity for your headlights with alfaOBD, The ballast needs to be removed. I don't have HIDs in my truck but I think I remember reading that somewhere in the alfaOBD forum. Great videos 1st of all. I just got my alfaobd set up and been playing with it. I did the foglight dropout but lost my automatic high beams. I was ok with that but I have a red flashing light in the rear view mirror. Did your do the same thing ?

No red light for me. But I have seen someone else ask a question about this in the ram forum. This is the answer they received from @ricks ram The sensor for the Auto Dim is in the front in the mirror glass itself and there is another on the back of the mirror housing. Neither of them should flash for any reason. There is a Red/Green light between the Assist and 911 buttons. It will flash red if there is a problem with the mirror. The only time I have seen one flash red was when the 911 system wasn't functioning correctly or the 911 override plug was not used in a RA3 or RA4 radio upgrade. I'm not sure if it will flash for other reasons as well. Basically it's telling you there's a problem within the system.

So their website says alfaOBD is compatible from 2006 to 2018. however I know it's also compatible with 2019 through 2021 classic Rams. www.alfaobd.com/ Their website does show Rams work with it. I know third gens are a little bit sticky because not everything will work the same or at all. Best compatibility starts at 2013. It's not the led you have. My led is white then goes to amber when I turn on the turn signal. I guess I need to look for a switchback setting somewhere in the program.

Hey John, I say 13+ because pretty much all the features work for a 13+ however that doesn't mean you are out of luck, some features do work for the '09 to '12 You can look up alfaOBD 09 to 12 In the Ram forum. Thanks for the video, I was getting ready to get it done when I watched another video on enabling DRL, in that video it says that if you do a dropout disable the DRL will not work. That the DRL lights will go out when high beam is used. Can't decide which I want more, DRL or no dropout. Has anyone tried this?

@@bigdaddyshouse thanks, i did hear about 30s on chrysler forum. I just managed to add Chinese reversing camera to mygig and enabled DRL in indicators. Camera works fine but DRL go off after I use indicator and stay off for rest of trip. Come on again when restart car and as far as I dont use indicator they stay lite up but go off again. Ill try to play with software a bit. Thanks for uploads. Very educational. 🍺
