アルファ33の後継車種として1995年に発売されたFFの5ドアハッチバックで、2000年まで製造され、同年発表の147が後継車種である。
モデル名の「Ti」は、“Turismo Internazionale”の頭文字を採ったもので、スポーツ性と快適性を兼ね備えたグランドツアラーとしての特性を磨き上げたモデルである。
内外装ともにアルファロメオ・チェントロスティーレ（アルファロメオ社内デザインセンター）が担当し、フィアット・ティーポがベースとして、多くの部品を共有していた。
全体的なフォルムは33を踏襲し、フロントデザインは145、サイドは155を踏襲していた。
搭載される直列4気筒DOHCツインスパークエンジンは、1969ccの排気量から、最高出力 150ps/6200rpm、最大トルク19.0kg・m/4000rpmを発揮した。
