Just found this video and I guess this guy is an actual hero. Cant wrap my head around this captain. Gotta be his first time near water. I understand there is current and falling tide and some guy with a camera but really how can you spend more than 10 minutes at the ramp. He is obviously too deep to hold his boat straight on the trailer. This hurts for God sake go help him. If I had seen this live I would have started driving from Illinois to help end this nightmare.

the trick with this boat ramp is same as Anaclote park boat ramps, you have to watch tides..dead tide best time to launch or load boat because no current and tides going out and in the current is strong..this miami boat ramp is steep and makes it challenging because of steep angle and reason most boats are having problems with boat sitting right coming out is becaue they back in too far and current pushes boat because its floating over trailer. just don't back in as deep and let boat motor push it up on trailer and winch it at same time it'll sit flat..tide, current, depth of trailer is all you have to keep in mind and once you get that down the rest is a piece of keylime pie😁

When I trailered I would launch and retrieve in less than 5 minutes on an uncrowded ramp. One key is keeping the trailer at 90' to the ramp/waterline...

I reverse down the boat ramp, i unhook the boat, I put the bow line over the trailers hitch, get back in car put it in neutral, roll back and then put it in gear and glide the boat into the water. Tie the boat up to the pontoon and park the car. When I return, I get the car reverse the trailer into the water and drive the boat all the way up to the winch, leave it in gear while I attach the winch and chain, then turn the boat off trim the motor and I’m out.

Your CRV is front wheel drive primary with rear wheel drive assist if the computer detects wheel slippage, so they were good with traction there. I don't know if I'd use mine to pull a boat, but it's their car...

I tried launching my 16' Bay craft Trihull bass boat with my CJ-7. The Jeep is locked front and rear and with all tires wet could do it. Driving on the road the tail wagged the dog....

I can say as a big truck driver that I am hesitant to help/ direct other drivers. They screw up and want to blame you. A small accident can mean big bucks. As a boat owner he should have invested more effort into learning with others before going it alone.

Alfred my man, five minutes in and out no problem. If people screwed around as long as they do in Miami in Minnesota, there would be fist fights at the landing. I have a question for you. Why doesn’t anybody drive their boats up on the trailer in Miami? In Minnesota, we back the trailer in not as far as they do in Miami and you drive the boat up on the trailer. This achieves two things. One the trailers not as far in the water. two, it helps center the boat on the trailer. Love the chit show!

It literally takes me 2 minutes . My hydrostream is already untied dock line on before i approach the ramp trailer lock is off back down fire it up and drive off the trailer tie to the dock and go park the trailer
