The best interpretation of Il mio Tesoro.!!! I like wunderlich too.however , kraus is a little more elegant to my ears.

Kolomon von Pataky and Tito Schipa are better than Kraus.

The only Wunderlich recording I know of is in German, so that's the reason (the ONLY reason, I would say) that elegance is lacking.) Wunderlich makes Ottavio sound absolutely heroic.

Kraus, como cualquiera, tenia que tener alguna debilidad, pero simplemente, no se la consentía. Su entonación media es perfecta y sus agudos claros y limpios como la plata. me parece que en algun momento de disminucion de altura del tono medio, deja un resquicio de alivio a la enorme tensión mantenida que requiere el vaiven de esta partitura. Kraus deja constancia de su enorme calidad como cantante, y ser humano, no era una maquina de cantar.
