ALF follows the adventures of Gordon Shumway, a furry, wise-cracking alien from the planet Melmac who crash lands into the garage of the Tanner family. The Tanners offer him a home and give him the nickname ALF, short for “Alien Life Form.” Created by Tom Patchett (The Carol Burnett Show) and Paul Fusco (who also performed as ALF), the half-hour sitcom rose to popularity in the late 1980s, cementing itself in the pop culture zeitgeist.

According to some rumors back than, this was actually supposed to be final episode of the show as network supposedly decided to cancel the show. Therefore, ALF was originally indeed supposed to leave Earth. However, at the very last moment, producers changed their mind and re-wrote the ending.

i noticed since watching this show, they family really cares about their cats. my parents wouldnt have cats in our family if it wasnt for my dad. but over the years they have ignored the cats and i stepped in to take care of them as best i could. but it doesnt help that they are forced to live outside in a makeshift dog kennel where i have found tarantula spiders inside, snakes, lizards, and black widow spiders. we live out in the middle nowhere and bob cats have been spotted and coyotes can be heard. when i go in to take care of them my male cat tries to escape and it scares the shit out of me. these poor kitties need to be inside where its safe, warm, and they are protected from the elements. and fed real cat food and not expired cans of tuna. makes me sad seeing them having to live this way.
