The chef gave it to leader and he likes it, and he asked about the name of it the chef was eating a hot piece of "carantika" so he answered "caliente" which is hot in Spanish, the Spanish bring it with them, cuz Oran was occupied by the Spanish... So you finally come to Oran, not far from my city ...Arzew. Hope you enjoyed

You are totally right. "Bnin" means delicious when it comes to solid food, but for liquide drinks you may hear things like "hlou" (=sweet) or "hayel" (=excellent) and so on. Anyway, you will always be welcome in our country...

Guys bnin is a Moroccan word and specifically used in Fes, has nothing to do with Algerian language, in Algeria we don't even use that word

As a Moroccan I think algerian people are very nice and kind, we are the same nation, we have the same culture and the same language and accent, same people, there's only borders and politics that seperate us. we suppose to be one big nation in north africa and we can call it the big magreb or the grand magreb.

2:09 Spain and France were an occupation, the ottomans were our Allies against spain, Algeria asked them to collaborate and fight together against spain, you can look for it Google The Regency of Algiers, it was an independent Regency doesn't follow the ottoman political decisions, so only the army and ruler extended here and in Tunsia and Libya but for the cultural influence they took from Algeria the Zirids architecture and Algerian Naval Jabadouli ( called Zouave Jacket by Europeans)
