Dear sir i require your expert opinion on a project I'm working on. Its a coil for Nokta detector velox one induction balance, I need to know what type of cable is used for coil, it has a GX12 5 pins connector and according to x-ray cable could have only 4 cables inside or could be 5 not sure please advise.

Woody, does the vdi indicator give a reasonable indication of iron and maybe be a substitute for the dd-coil iron disc seen in the ML units??

It depends on how I test , the hot rocks that I have all indicated 00 but I have not tested for in ground iron.

Depends, the pinpoint ID will give a bouncy target ID on some messed up odd shaped iron, but if its a nice round bit or something like that, it will come up just as stable as any other ID on it, it's very different to the iron blanking with a DD on the GPX 5000. If there is an area riddled with a type of nail for example and they come up a certain ID, then you could use that to cherry pick other targets with different ID's.

There are two camps on this detector, some think it’s good and others think not so good. Their are non affiliated people using the detector and commenting, other detector brand sellers have a vested interest, those that are dealers for this have a vested interest, my position is to sit on the fence until more feedback comes in, my comments may skew peoples views and I have not tested the E1500 on hot ground so until I do I should not second guess.

lots and lots of ferrous targets will give u the same ID numbers as gold,in highly mineralised ground, that is a given
