The west site is terrible as bad as they come lol .. I loved the new thunder box on the south ... u guys came the day we left I believe

The west site looked muddy and gloomy… plus a portage through the site is always frowned upon… and that thunder box on the south site was the freshest I have ever seen!

stick around S. Galipo next time, visit some of the adjacent lakes (frost, upper redstone) worth the drop a line for.. S. Galipo site has a clearing in back with relics etc.

the sign was likely regarding hunting as you are very close to park border. Was there a stashed canoe on the left as you got to the 5m portage?

Not that I recall. There was an mnr boat on the portage out of clydegale though… or I assume it was

Great idea doing the boat before I never dbl protage I carry a 45 lb bag and canoe at the same time and my buddy Carrie's a 85 liter bag .

Yeah we basically never double either, but the prospect of waking up to hand bomb the boat was not ideal, and we had some time to kill

@@derekgraziano9499 I guess the idea is we should tackle the tough trips when we are still young… and then we can slow things down and sit around fires in our old age and remember all the slogs we had in our youth.

@@SingleMaltAndMaps lol we say the samething I'm 47 . By the time were old we should of found that one lake we can still make it to at 60 and be a hood spot . Our knees buddy who comes is 70 he just does small trips now but he was still killing it at 65 .

have you ever been to forest bay/night lake? looking to check these areas out when I go in September

We passed through Pen a few times, and once through the north end of Aubrey lake, but no we have never gone through forest bay or night lake. Likely a nice quiet spot tucked in close to a few access points
